Saving in the Arena

I've just started playing around with the arena mode and I was curious if you can save your progress in there or do you start from scratch each time?

really awsome news! Such a pitty that I cant hire anybody...even after 4th round

And no, you cannot SAVE GAME in arena. To fight nekkers do this- charm yourself with Quen in the start of the battle and use tactic SPACE SPACE SPACE HIT HIT SPACE SPACE SPACE HIT HIT ...and repeat it... you can also buy some amunition (petards) or necrofag oil or elixirs from the Don Corleone who sits on the chair =)

I am mainly using the Arena to hone my fighting skills. Since you cannot save your progress every time you quit the arena, you have to start all over again. I really don't see the point in that. They should of had an option to save your progress. But like I said a good area to practice your fighting techniques.

The point of not saving progress in Arena, is to stop alternative methods to score high points by reverting back to saved state. I can imagine some noob doing it...

Would be nice if you could save/load only a the end of the fight and ,of course, the save is gone if you die, just like insane mode, 'cause sometimes when you're past wave 20, you are tired but cannot exit.

i am glad CDPR didnt add save system in arena mode, to all NOOBS complaing about the saves not being incorporated TAKE NOTE- the point of the arena is to see how many rounds you can survive and rack up points before you die or u are overcome with fatigue that u must give up fighting(playing) and exit the arena(shut down the comp and take a nap)!! thats the REAL CHALLENGE, SO STOP WHINING and thank CDPR for this great free DLC

GEEZ m8! Easy!

Not everyone could perform two hour arena session, it take to me, an average of about 3-4 minutes for a round (fight+potions+shop+inventory+characterskill)... in my best run i survive about 40 rounds (not remember exactly how much) ... so it's a lot of time and the fact that if my pc crashes, i have to so somewhere i have to start FROM round one it's frustrating.

I'd have liked saving/loading at a certain round of course ONLY if i survived until that. Just that.

Nobody want exploit a competition there, just, if you want a decent arena run you need lots of time, and, in m life it's limitating.

Be polite, it's not nobbing and not whining here.

Saving after every tenth round, sounds good to me.

whats the point of the equipment you win after a round? just to help you in further rounds? doesnt seem like you are able to take the won equipment with you into the regular game

Yep, it's for the further rounds. I feel that the reward choice is somewhat a tactical choice...very well done.

I got also problem with that shopkeeper. Also his inventory is empty... It's a bit stupid to not be able buy petards, because that's almost the only way to kill that nekkers.

but even if it would be like that... what would be so bad about that? that would be training for perfection. and i assume higher levels give you more points anyway. so somebody reloading level 3 again and again to perfect his score there will not come anywhere close to somebody on level 9 anyway. the major criterion would still be to what level you can get.

which... in my view should be the only one. i was hoping that especially with the shop options and everything, one could keep trying the level in which one died until one succeeds. after all - how is does it not prove skill when one person just can't get beyond level 10 while another one is stuck at level 14? (or something like that)
without saving and no ability to retry after dying, there's no point in this mode for me. i don't see any excitement in going through levels i've already mastered again and again.

level 29 - 30 for me i cant pass the 5 Fire Gholems and they add 5 witches with that so it makes it so hard to fight. i seen a post saying people cheat and change the scores. that is not fair either

I'm tired of pressing escape every time when I start the arena mode to bypass the cutscene and then you need to bypass the trader as well. Every f*cking time. Then I start playing die at some point. Now, I have to go back to main menu. Click Arena again. Then bypass the cutscene and trader again. Choose the difficulty again. There should be a save allowed just at the start before you choose difficulty. And there should be a choice to start over right where you died instead of going back to main menu again.

A save at the beginning would be great but until then a right mouse click will get you past the cutscene and left clicks will get you past the trader .
