I am an avid fan of Cyberpunk 2020 and now Cyberpunk 2077. With this in mind I have noticed a few things that I felt could and should be addressed to restore faith in CDPR. These are just a few ideas, concepts, quality of life improvements, and immersion tips for CDPR. These will be listed in no particular order and I will continue to add to them as I play on.
A-Z For Night City

  1. Bugs/Glitches/Errors- A.) Character clipping while using the Monowire. B.) Broken animations/sound while jacking into access-points.
  2. Immersion is everything in CP2077- A.) AI should actually ride motorbikes. B.) NCPD should drive/chase in their vehicles. C.) Cyberware installation animations; in the initial Cyberware installation scene you witness the installation of your optics and Smartlink system. This needs to be implemented for all modifications at every Ripperdoc. This seemed obvious to me and myself and friends included assumed that was the level of immersion we should expect. D.) The ability to examine your weapon including removing the magazine and chambering a round with animations/sounds. E.) Flesh out and finalize the rail system. Even if it only allows you to move around the carriage with the ability to explore multiple viewpoints ie; standing sitting and focusing. F.) Hostile and vengeful gangs. If a player has murdered an exorbitantly large number of (insert gang/faction of choice here) then they should from time to time seek you out in vehicular combat/ambushes. Insert drive by HERE...sometimes you get sprayed down. G.) Have the NCPD and MaxTac arrive in vehicles. H.) Some of the people I kill should have Trauma Team memberships that are active; insert AV with killer team at local. I.) Crafting should afford you the option of choosing the material/colors of your weapons. Even if they are just the generic choices that you find. You should also be provided an opportunity to craft at a station not from a menu anywhere in the world. Why have an armory room if you can't use it to create things? J.) Separate your stash items based on type more than they are; you have a closet in the front of the apartment, why not use that for clothing and have a series of 4 of each item (shirts, shoes, jackets, glasses, ect) to be displayed for visual appeal? K.) It is 2077 can I have a flashlight attachment for Christ sakes? L.) Street Racing...Street Racing...Street Racing; there are a million different tiny garages all over Night City. Give some to the player with, I don't know...maybe some crafting stations! This would also open up a new segment of possible customization of vehicles and or the ability to just obtain new ones with each garage. Oh and can we please have a place to park at our apartment Megaplex? P.S. I love the driving so don't let anyone discourage your efforts. The nail was struck directly on the head. M.) When riding the motorbikes allow the 1st person camera to be adjusted and remain. Some of us prefer to see the fuel tank of the bike and look through the wind visor. N.) When pressing buttons and activating things, animate the character doing it. O.) My hair never grows out...I never get ink...do you see where I am going with this? Again, it's 2077 I want to get plastered at the AfterLife and drunk drive to get a tattoo after shaving myself bald with animations damn it! P.) Drugs and prostitutes, I figured there would have been way more pushers in Night City as well as Joytoys. Q.) Why don't vendors specialize? It takes all of the fun out of going into a new store and realizing I could have stayed closer to the apartment to buy a pistol as most vendors carry every type of weapon. I want to trek halfway across the city to buy a new suit from Avanti only to bump into a street vendor selling pistols from the back of Villefort Alvarado in a neon lit alleyway. Oh, and it would provide a wonderful opportunity to have the NCPD swoop in to make a bust...better run or shoot my way out. R.) Can the NCPD please do patrols! I mean, do cops not walk the beat anymore? In 2077 wouldn't the NCPD use drones to simply patrol. S.) Can I talk to a cop without them becoming hostile? T.) Do Medias not cover massive shootouts in Night City? Have them come in with security forces and film the aftermath! I want to see interviews going down on the street. U.) When I leave my car the wheels don't always have to straighten out. I want the turned sometimes for pictures. V.) Can the Nomads be freakin' Nomads please. Let us see some convoys and interact with them as they move. W.) CHOO2 is one of my favorite concepts from original CyberPunk lore. It keeps everything from 4-bangers to V12's plausible in the distant future. The common denominator here though, is refueling! Have NPC's use gas stations and fuel their rides. That seemed like a no brainer to me. I couldn't tell you how many times I decided to drive my Toyota Avante to the edge of Night City, pickup a Screamsheet after filling my tank then walk inside, stick the place up and burn rubber back into the city! I wanna do the same dang thing lol. X.) Gore...more gore! Bodies should remain until after a city morgue detail arrive and setup a crime scene. Make it risky for the character to come back to the scene of their crime too soon. Y.) If I shoot a damn tire it should lose air with animations and noise. Z.) Finally, SCREAMSHEETS! I want to read about my dang exploits! Maybe keep "copies" at my apartment in my armory room as records.
  3. Don't get discouraged at all. The game is solid and just needs this little bit to push it over the top. Seriously, people are living with 1st world problems. Everyone involved with this game have continued to go above and beyond and should remain proud. Cyberpunk 2077 is epic and no amount of naysayers will change the legacy you all are creating. It's like the Witcher (I have never played the Witcher series however, I have read extensively about it's development and model) the game can be refined into the masterpiece your team set out to create. There is a long road but if CDPR double down and simply invest in these things the game will rightfully take it's place on the throne of next-gen games. Dig in and make fools out of the haters!

Here's my take on those suggestions, OP. It's rare such big list happen to be more than mostly a ton of unrealistic wishes, but your list here is much better than average, thus this post from me.

1.A - yes, but now priority. Few use it.

1.B - yes.

2.A - yes, especially seeing all the gangs bikes standing around!

2.B - yes.

2.C - i don't like. It's a game, not a movie. Perfect as it is now, to me. Use imagination.

2.D - i don't like, unless it's actual game mechanic like jammed weapon.

2.E - yes!

2.F - no, unless there were surviving gang member(s) witnesses of V's hostilities (in which case, sure, this would work). Dead do not talk.

2.G - yes.

2.H - yes, but only for corpos like Arasaka and Militech. Not gangs.

2.I - worded too poorly to understand clearly about crafting mats. As for armory room: lots, LOTS players will be upset by such a limitation.

2.J - yes, but in itself far insufficient. Ever played with PoE hideouts? Fallout 4 hideouts? Few extra bits won't help much. Whole big proper "fancy player's headquarters system" is required to do this any well.

2.K - yes, definitely.

2.L - same as 2.J.

2.M - yes.

2.N - no. We press buttons helluva many times, and i want it instant. Time's money. No animaions.

2.O - yes.

2.P - yes from me personally, but then this has proven problematic to implement due to real world countries' authorities. Even mandatory undies now, you know. "Sorry"...

2.Q - incorrect. Vendors do specialise significantly, just not completely. I like how it is. Like the cops' ambushes (procedural / open world style) idea though. Could be neat unless bugged - see 2.R comment.

2.R - yes, but technically quite challenging to implement without spawning whole bunch of new bugs / issues, mind you.

2.S - yes. Note, though, this one is partially incorrect. You can, to quite a few cops. Regina, River, the gal cop in motel, MaxTac team arriving to wipe out a psycho in clothing store, cops ambushing a corpo in an alley, etc. Best clarify you meant "procedurally generated" cop NPCs.

2.T - no, because impractical. In itself could be neat, but requires way too much custom-made content, which would have way too little chances for majority of players to experience it. Best spend developers' efforts elsewhere.

2.U - yes. Simple to do, but realistic change.

2.V - yes, but only if/when RedEngine will generally get bug-free scripting for moving, procedurally generated NPC / vehicle groups. AFAICT, it does not have it at this time, and it's technically complex task to create one - pathing, all the possible interactions / reactions automated, make-sense destinations' network and rules. Tons of things to do, lots can go wrong.

2.W - yes.

2.X - i dunno. You maniac? =) Sure can live without more gore, here. Crime scene part, though - can be good, yes.

2.Y - yes.

2.Z - yes. More detailed log(s) would be good to have, especially reflecting all the story-altering decisions taken.

3. 1st, this game is already a masterpiece - no doubt about it. It's just that it's a messy one, and also that many gameplay mechanics are way too primitive, often massively unbalanced, and in worst cases even plain stupid and wrong.

2nd, it ain't that easy now that all the messy stuff coming with the release and patches so far - made so many folks less than happy. Now all the further team's efforts are under double-triple-quadriple scrutiny and doubt. It ain't nice. It requires lots of extra effort and tons of extra care from the team. Means, now CDPR needs to do more than just "work double as hard to fix all the things which remain to be fixed". Changes are required. Sometimes, painful changes. And it ain't clear if CDPR is willing and able to do it. This recent short Reuters article will tell you a bit more about it.

So yeah. We'll see. I think by the end of this year we'll know if CDPR would manage to recover this game, or not.
