I find that unlikely. I have yet to see two npc's look the same. The first witcher was notorious for clones though. No, I think it's simply a different NPC based on the same model.

If this were TW1 I would agree with you. But a developer stated in a recent interview (check that thread) that they did their best to make sure even merchants looked different, because seeing merchants with same voices and/or bodies is immersion-breaking. Given this and the fact those two characters @Shavod pointed out have a similar voice, I'm more inclined to believe they're the same person. No, I think it's simply a different NPC based on the same model.
You will see similar NPC's that have similar features just like in this case. They've increased the NPC variety but they have also increased size of the map.If this were TW1 I would agree with you. I really ,really hope not.No, I think it's simply a different NPC based on the same model.
Same here, it was a little TOO similar.I really ,really hope not.
I don't doubt we'll see similar characters but these two look and sound almost identical, right down to the beard. Is it really unbelievable that they are the same person? We know the griffin's victim belongs to White Orchard, and the Wild Hunt unleashing terror on a small village both sounds right up their alley and like a good end to the prologue. Oh well, I guess we'll see. Not really worth debating over. You will see similar NPC's that have similar features just like in this case. They've increased the NPC variety but they have also increased size of the map.
You have won the case. It's mostly just the fact that they have the same haircut. Side-by-side comparison you can very easily tell the different facial features.
Facial Hair, Lips, Wrinkles, Nose... Even the eyes have a different shape to them.
Even if CDPR was to create and hand-place every single NPC in the game, there's still going to be some characters that look similar to each other. There's only a finite number of haircuts, eye colors and whatnot that they can use, there's bound to be some similar looking double-ups.
The first picture came from pc footage on high settings, you can get the direct feed video on gamersyde if you want to check, the only difference is that the first character is shoot from a farthest angle than the seconds ones.I think its the same character but one being blurry console footage and the other being pc very high/ultra footage. A lot more detail in the second pic.

I think its the same character, i'll believe it until proven otherwise. One being ultra/very high settings, other being medium/high settings or console footage.I'm not completely discounting the possibility of them being the same character, because aside from a direct side-by-side comparison we have no further information.
Who knows, maybe it is the same guy years later? Maybe they tweaked the model between Elder Blood & the new footage?
No.
There are already been three people who prove you otherwise by giving you argument disproving your theory, differances may exist between high and ultra but I hardly see how it's possible for the picture with the lowest settings to get more details than the one running on ultra, for exemple the high settings's peasant's nose and cheekbones are covered with freckles whereas we don't see any on the ultra setting's peasant..I think its the same character, i'll believe it until proven otherwise. One being ultra/very high settings, other being medium/high settings or console footage.
That IS possible, but the difference being because one footage is consoles or lower quality compared to the other is NOT the reason. How about the same person but they just changed his looks some?
But...but... what if there is no clones? How cool would that beGuys, please don't spread the opposite of FUD, as in creating unrealistic hopes by saying a certain piece of material is console, and thereby anticipating something significantly better. The level of expectation is too damn high.
Marcin confirmed that Elder Blood is PC, here. I'm confident everyone who said one is on console meant this trailer, and not the material from the hands-on events, right?
As for the NPC, I think this too is about unrealistic hopes. I really don't think NPCs will change clothes and facial hair, that sounds crazy. In a world where just Novigrad itself is said to have hundreds if not thousands of NPCs, c'mon, expect some clones.
