It looks fantastic, I just hope I'll be able to ignore medium/heavy armours altogether. I don't want my Geralt to wear any heavy iron stuf.

Or stupid steel or whatever it is that compromises mobility;)

I know who is golden dragon. I was just talking about everyone beign blown by potential dragons because it is sooo cliche.

I think some of us are excited for the possibility of a golden dragon, not because its a dragon but because we would meet that character. Just like if they told us that there are going to be friendly barber vampires id be losing my shit not because of vampires but because id know who that vampire likely is.

Weirdly enough the screen of the weapon store published in the Gamestar magazine has a lot more aliasing than the one posted here.

Different AA settings, 4k resolution or post-processed?!

Dammit! A few previous pages I wanted to be sailing in a river...

And now, thanks to @Marcin Momot I want to go shopping...

Awesome screens. I love the attention to detail and the facial expressions are very lifelike and believable.

My only issue is the light. It is simply to bright for being indoors and you have this sense of that some light comes from nowhere but are just there. Skyrim had that too until it was fixed with mods. But hey maybe it's better in motion :)

Many people don't like realistic dark spots in video games. That's just a convenience thing. Because different to reality your sight is rather restricted on a monitor and it can get tedious in too dark locations to find stuff or to navigate. Therefore games usually offer some "background light", even in dark spots. I'm all in for that tbh. Function trumps realism for this one imho.

If you want the game to be darker, just turn down your gamma settings or wait for mods. ;)

Background light was the word I needed, thank you. I don't like it, it breaks immersion and makes interiors seem unreal. A shame when everything else is so amazing.

Turning down the gamma won't help though as it affects everywhere and no just interiors. So yes properly mods will be my solution for a second play-through.

One way to rationalize it is that Geralt sees far better than a normal person with very little light. =D

I know but the problem is that you can't change the distance to objects beyond a predefined limit. For example, if you drop a small object in a dark environment in real life you usually take a knee for searching it on the floor, reducing the distance between the object and your eyes. And of course you have your hands for trying to get ahold of it, feeling it. Both is impossible in games. If you drop a small item in a dark spot you can neither get closer for better eyesight nor could you feel it. You have to rely on being able to see it on the screen from where you stand. That's the reason why there is often some subtle background light in video games of that kind. I know that it hurts the realism, but it's a compromise I can certainly live with.

Hell, yeah. Didn't even think about that. That's actually pretty clever explanation for the background light. It's the power of his cat eyes. Immersion restored! :)
