ScriptStudio crashing.

I'll cut right to the chase: Everything I try to do with the ScriptStudio ends up crashing. Can't open script directory, can't create new mod.
Windows 10, 64bit.
Any reason / solution ?
EDIT: Unrelated, but any help would be appreciated: I'm trying to make a mod to increase the number of quickslots for potions, as I've finished the game twice with sign build and combat build, and I can't withstand the immersion breaking of entering the inventory every single time I want to drink 3+ potions instead of 2 as an alchemy focused build.
