I got completely destroyed by what appears to be a 300 iq play in Patience is a Virtue seasonal. NR, Pincer Maneuver. Foltest. I guess I should have seen it sooner and destroyed him and not the volunteers but this opponent had some insane strategy that actually worked. He uses his ability to spawn a volunteer on melee and draw Foltest. Plays Foltest left of the volunteer. The result? 25 cards in the deck, maybe half volunteers.
He had the new Radovid in his deck too (who isn't broken at all) and replenished his leader charges.
All good, I'm still in the lead, why should I worry about volunteers in his deck? After all, they don't come out instantly like Dun Banners. He eventually passed. That was round 1.
Round 2, I just played 2-3 cards and passed him. Apparently that was a "crap move". Was pretty sure he was bluffing. I soon found out he wasn't kidding.
Round 3, the guy uses his leftover ability charges and somehow gets 2 Erlands on the board. Sure, he had one in his starting deck, and I guess he was lucky enough to get a transform on another one. But yeah, 2 Erlands on 25 cards in the deck, all units. One of them boosts for +50 and I'm left speechless. It's not that I couldn't have foreseen it, it's that Erland has immunity and even useful transformations like Professional couldn't help me lol. I also had a Vincent but...immunity. So yeah, he won.
I get it, there are people who are just too lucky with transformations. But that was something else. All planned right from the start. Probably my worst loss ever lol (sorry for the bad screen, I couldn't wait long enough before capturing, was busy slamming my desk lul)
