Sephirot Problem - Maal'kad

Hi all,
Not really sure what to do here. I seem to be missing the Maal'kad Sephirot that drops from the Cockatrice. I thought I'd looted it but I can't seem to find it anywhere and now I'm fairly certain I'm close to the end of Chapter 2. Is there a way of getting this without re-starting the whole chapter again? I don't have any saves as I'd been deleting them. Feel like a tit for doing so now though...

If you didn't collect it from the cockatrice, it should still be in the sewers. If you did, be sure to scroll your quest item inventory before concluding it isn't there.
