Series X Pixelated Visual Artifacting FSR 2.1 | DRS

+
The FSR 3 update just got released! It's PC only 😢
It's over bros! The game will remain broken forever for us unfortunate xbox players!
They're aware of this issue, they just didn't bother to fix it!

Now that I've read all this, especially from PC gamers, I think we should perhaps be grateful that the update didn't come to consoles. It seems to be a great disappointment.

Thoughts and Prayers.

No seriously, Xbox Series players deserve some love.

My wish list:

-Outstanding reported quest bugs
-Mod Support for console (newest Hulk Hogan textures)
-HDR black level improvements for consoles (maybe Dolby Vision Gaming HDR)
-Pixelization fix for Xbox
-Draw distance LoD and pop-in improvements
-Hardware VRS improvements for xbox
-Uncapped VRR tv compatible modes
-Modern Upscaler toggle (FSR3.1 and XeSS)
-Better ray tracing feature (RTGI or RT Reflactions), not just indoor only for consoles

They've been saying that for 2 years now 💀

I got the same message more than a year ago. The they released the FSR 3.0 Update which not fixes the issue. So, how big is the chance they are fixing it in the future? They release patch after patch after it took over two years to even get the game into a good shape and people are freaking out about the ability to change color and some new customization options for characters. Something that modders have perfected on PC. The same goes for FSR 3.1, by the way. So in the end they don't even have to do much. But as you can see, they're not doing anything. There are other games. Time to move on.

I agree, it's not getting fixed. Just means I will sadly never finish the game on this generation at least. Avatar had some issues which were similar with its FSR and Ubisoft patched it and improved it pretty quickly. At this point it's pretty safe to assume that whoever handles things on the technical side maybe just doesn't have the knowledge or the time. Extremely unfortunate situation for Xbox players.

Actually, the truth is far simpler. This can be fixed! It would require some tweaking on the fsr part. However the xbox is by far the least popular platform for the game. There's a lot more playstation and pc players!
If this has been an issue on the playstation, it would have been fixed ages ago!
Barely us, a couple of nobodies reported this issue on xbox, but imagine the uproar if this was affecting PS5 instead!
They can just sweep it under the rug and no one will notice anything! It's been working for over 2 years now!

We don't have any word about whether this will be addressed officially as of yet. My guess would be not, just given how long its been an issue. Why, I have no idea. It could be anything from the expense of providing support for it to some sort of legal issue that presents it. I have no actual info, though.

If there is any plan to implement it, remember that it will come directly from the studio.

I just wanted to make this thread as there is currently a fairly large issue affecting the Series X version after 1.61

It appears to be related to FSR 2.1 but honestly who knows. I would very much appreciate if anyone can corroborate the same.

What appears to be happening is there is visual artifacting appearing over the image which pulses for a second or so then returns to normal. It appears like FSR is having difficulties applying sharpening to certain surfaces that possibly use the low SSR setting on consoles and when new frames or geometry are rendered in as you move through the environment it will flash across the image and appears like an oversharpening glitch where sharpening is cranked to the max and pixelation appears over the screen.

I have made a video at the link and it appears just as the car approaches the police car. What is equally strange is that just as it happens, the neon lights on the side of the police car, lights in the distant buildings and general light sources in the area all glow very brightly.

This issue needs to be highlighted as much as possible as despite the image now looking noticeably cleaner and sharper thanks to FSR 2.1, the image instability that the game is currently displaying is making it almost unplayable.

I have also taken a zoomed in picture of the neon light glow and pixelation/noise that is appearing which can be seen on the side of the police car.

Please if anyone can also test this on PS5 or Series X I would be very grateful.

If anyone with a PC can also test using FSR 2.1 to see if they experience the same that would be very much appreciated.
my cyberpunk, on Xbox series X has the same problem in addition to rendering problems where cars, npcs and objects appear and disappear, especially when I'm driving, and the shadows are generally buggy, probably due to the same rendering problem. Hope they fix soon. I started playing recently and im loving the game, but this graphics issues are really bothering me.

We really need a dev from cdpr to see this thread! Maybe they will acknowledge it when they see how bog the issue really is
They're aware. It's not something that can be easily fixed, clearly. Also, keep in mind that these are community forums -- REDs will normally only engage in conversations if there's an announcement of some sort. In order to contact CDPR Support officially, be sure to send a support ticket via the system.

This sounds like an older issue. If you have video of this, go ahead and send it into CDPR Support. (It was originally a culling issue with NPCs and the like due to RAM limitations on especially last-gen consoles. As far as I know, it was rectified a while back. Doesn't mean it can't crop back up though.)
