Just put up parry and wait for him to tire out. Then clobber once or twice with fast attack (if you are fighting *most* opponents and have skills that benefit from adrenaline *e.g. Undying*, then experiment with spamming strong attack (some opponents will be damaged through block especially in Velen), others will take no damage but will grant you 3 Adrenaline points before you revert to defending to wear down his stamina and rinse and repeat).

The design and balance of fist fighting seems fundamentally broken, but it isn't challenging once you figure out the 'do this to win' strategy for each opponent/class.

None of the Arena fights are terribly tricky... I found the ad-hoc ones immediately after a cutscene to be far more trouble (even to the extent of being over before I had my guard up on one occasion).

All my achievements are gone. I 've just quit the game and gog galaxy was uploading my new achievement and try to add my gametime

At first it also deleted my gametime, but that is back in order. I know gog galaxy is in beta and I will get the achievements back on my second playthrough, but what a bummer. This whole console/steam generations ruined my perception of a finished game. When I am done and don't have half of the achievements there are it just feels wrong.

Strange they are back. I guess it was just gog working funky.

oooh okay :/ that kinda sucks, but I'd choose to save Roche over Dijkstra. Does that still mean Radovid gets killed?

Yeah, it's just silly that right after Radovid is dead, he announces, with Geralt present, that he is gonna kill your friends. Imagine if you helped Dijkstra with the assassination plot, celebrate with Thaler, Roche and Ves, and then later see these three being executed. What a huge punch in the gut that would be. Maybe even a bit too cruel, but that's the consequence of getting into political bullshit and thinking Dijkstra wouldn't profit from the situation. If you could make the choice to kill Dijkstra or not after that happened, it would be a more interesting choice. Because even if in the current game I would want to see Dijkstra gain control of Redania, I would never abandon my Temerian comrades.

Yup, because I can totally accept that
Geralt would agree with Djikstra at a political level. He's not Temerian, he has no loyalties to that country, and the peace deal is bad for the North generally, including Kaer Morhen, which is in Kaedwen and could easily fall to Nilfgaard
but there's no way he'd
stand by and let Thaler and Ves be killed. Or Roche. Even if he doesn't LIKE Roche, there's still that little matter of Roche saving his life several times.
I'd prefer it if
There was no mention of Djikstra killing them. Just Djikstra saying no, you getting the chance to agree with him, and Roche hitting you over the head. You wake up to find Djikstra gone, Roche dead, Thaler still there cussing but being pragmatic about the whole thing.
or even
There's nothing in this spoiler tag, I just like making them

Political is interesting but I must too make a stop of playing to say that someone... I've found Leo's tomb. As I cannot pray (neihter Geralt) I've felt obliged to meditate at least 1 hour in his memory. Dammit, CDPR! You're always touching my heart with details like this!!!

Well, definitely not going with Triss on my future playthroughs. Already regretting it. Just completed the
Last Wish quest and saying "The magic's gone for me" to Yen was almost unbearable. I hate myself now.

About my problem with Greog and fist fighting. I thing there's a bug. The other 2 contrincants are weaker than him even being some levels upper. I assume he is not a 14 level but a 24 one.

Nodaways, I'm bad in this kind of combats.

And Eskimoe, yeah! A too rude way of saying "suddenly I don't love you anymore" CDPR's guys, you cannot never ever break up with a woman this way!! It's worse than saying it leaving a message in her answering phone!! You break her heart, no need to break her dignity"

Ugh, I know. Even though I went with Triss on my first playthrough, I felt like a complete piece of shit after that quest.

Edit: My Geralt's got a great haircut right now. Just look at Keira admiring it:

I know that feel, on my first playthrough I went for Yen, and just for her, and you know, the quest with Triss,
The Mattter of Life and Death, there is one scene, which starting from that point when Triss ask you to sit wit her a bit, and after he runs away. At the end, you could kiss her, but when I refused her, I felt myself like an arse. In fact the whole time I felt myself a bit bad, because we broke up between the TW2 and TW3.

I went with Yen on my first playthrough as well. My current playthrough with Triss just feels so weird. It's probably great for those who haven't read the books but since I have everything just feels out of place.

Definitely not going through this again. It's either Yen or forever alone. :p

Considering how much of a large role Yennefer plays compared to Triss, I imagine it's really weird breaking up with Yen but her still being there all the time.

Now the waiting is unbearable... and I'm a PSN user, which means that I will play this mission tomorrow if I am lucky.

By the way;
When heard about Vereena, I realized that we need bruxa in W3...Where the hell are my favourite "monsters" from the books?!
