It's difficult to think about anything else when I'm playing TW3 and I keep thinking "I wish Iorveth was here I wonder what he'd think about this...."
Also I hope if I keep mentioning it SOMETHING will be done!!!!! :victory:

Would the Aen Elle even accept Aen Seidhe?

But yeah I wondered that too. I also think there was a perfect opportunity for a quest with Iorveth in helping the non-humans in Novigrad.

I finally finished the game. Took me about 100 hours and I capped level 35 in the epilogue.

My ending was

Nilfgaard wins the ware and Ciri rules as empress, Temeria becomes a vasall state. Hjalmar rules Skellige and Geralts lives happily with Triss in Kovir.

One thing I found peculiar was

During the Isle of Mists quests, when Ciri tells Geralt about the worlds she's visited one is described as: people have metal in their heads, everyone has flying carriages and they use things similiar to megascopes. What I make of it: Metal in their heads->Cyberware, flying cars and computer screens. Has Ciri been to the world of Cyberpunk?

Iorveth and Isengrim in Novigrad...Well..
A model for Iorveth was worked on and he was set to appear in Novigrad, along with other Scoia'tael, in a basement under a house in the nonhuman district. Geralt would see him playing his flute, using the same music from TW2, while sitting next to an Elven portal. Character descriptions for both Iorveth and Isengrim Faoiltiarna were also going to appear in the preliminary Prima guide. Why they were cut from the game is unknown, put it's not completely out there to suspect that either Iorveth or Roche would've helped you during the Battle at Kaer Morhen, depending on your Witcher 2 choices.

I haven't met Eredin in the books so far, so I can't judge, but from what I have heard, game Eredin is a bit of a 2D villain.

Ohhh :((( Now I am really sad they weren't included.... I was dying to see Iorveth T_T
I really hope CDPR release a DLC with Iorveth (and maybe Saskia?) in it. A lot of the Japanese witcher fans I have been chatting to have also mentioned they want to see Iorveth... so... please CDPR

"is a bit of a 2D villain"....................that's putting it lightly

An expansion adressing not only Iorveth but the entire Free Pontar Valley would be fantastic :yes

Where the hell is my bro Yarpen!? :comeatmebro:

Ay! there's a decided deficiency of familiar Dwarves!

I fully endorse any expansion which returns to Vergen and the struggles for freedom, revisits Saskia, Iorveth, Yarpen and company, or even Yaevinn (whatever happened to him, anyway?).

That's giving him a lot more credit then he deserves.

He's a non character.

This game is not huge... it's almost endless... how... how many places are to discover? The more I play the more I realize I missed something!

Yes it's amazingly big! And there's so much stuff to go and see!!
I spent 125 hours on my first playthrough and I had still not discovered most of the map. Perhaps for my next playthrough I will actually attempt to explore everywhere.

Also, slightly OT but I'm so glad that Roche is carrying on his family business.

Still on my first play-through, but I'd quite a bit of time to play yesterday, so here's an adventuring progress report: I've completely lost count of my hours, so far, but I've now explored all the marked 'points of interest' in Velen, and am narrowing Skellige down to just a few remaining Smugglers' Caches and Spoils of War. Once I've completed this process, I'll be at last moving along to Kaer Morhen. However, I've noticed that some treasures, ruins, and caves are not marked on the map, either because they are related to the main story, or because of some other reasons, so I know I've missed some things.

Here's the latest of Geralt (still hopelessly behind the most popular
Witcher fashions in armour), contemplating his next adventure:

A question, I've been playing on Normal (2nd) difficult, and I always overhelmed in character level quickly if I do several sidequets. Getting one level up in game difficult balances the XPs? Or it happaens the same issue at any level?

I'm playing on "Blood and Broken Bones" (3 out of 4) and always have points to spare. Currently level 21 with 10 unspent points. Coupled with enhanced griffin armor, I'm beating the living crap out of everything even in quests that suggest a higher level, like 25.

I think this game, like TW2, is poorly balanced. At first it was pretty hard but now with my mix of sword damage and sign area and intensity it's almost no challenge. There's also the effect of learning the combat system, but at this point I either destroy anything or get destroyed in one hit from overpowered creatures. Except in fist fighting, even a 5 year old can beat Geralt if he's not parrying.

One way to control how you level up is preferring secondary quests and contracts, which give you little XP. Once you're ready to level up pursue the main quests which give you tons of XP.

---------- Updated at 09:05 AM ----------

As an adventure update, I'm in Skellige. Completed some fun and easy quests and found all superior griffin diagrams. All I need is three more levels to be able to wear it.

By the way that's such a silly, game-y decision. What ARE talent points and levels and why are they a requirement for better armor and swords? And why is the damage and defense scale so ridiculous? Even enhanced gear makes initial *Witcher* gear look like toys. How can a slightly more padded armor be several orders of magnitude more protective? I think the Reds saw this too much as a video game and not so much as a role playing game. A good compromise would have been to define a sensible damage and armor scale and place different materials in different places. Crafting could be a linear combination of process and materials, yielding different damage and protection numbers with magical bonuses on top, like sign intensity or stamina recovery speed.

Anyway, moving on. I have a spare shirt and looking forward to Kaer Morhen, no idea when it will be available.

Then now it's time to make my next playthrough making al I use don't want to do (like loving Triss :p), not looking for Treasures' Gears, not annoying by recomended level for quests, and exploring all those question marks I've never discovered. Oh! and train the potion skills!

It's so hard to be a Witcher's fan!
