I started playing this game at midnight last night and the first issue I found was the menu on the character creation screen kept slowly scrolling down by itself, even though I wasn't touching the right thumb stick and I had to keep scrolling back up. I've also found that this happens on the settings menu as well as when reading datapads in game. Admittedly this may have something to do with my controller and thankfully this stick drifting doesn't happen during normal gameplay but I've never encountered this in other games.

I've also noticed that, on occasion, if I'm driving and I press right on the d-pad to change the camera view, there is about a 10 second delay between me pressing the d-pad and the camera view actually changing. I've also noticed this when trying to read text messages while driving. This doesn't always happen but I've noticed it a few times.

Another thing I noticed was, when I booted up the game today, my controller settings had been reset back to default (I play with inverted vertical controls and this had been reset back to normal). I also found that my graphics settings had been reset too. This has happened twice today, when I've booted up the game.

The first issue I noticed too but it might be intentional. But yeah, it's not great.

In general, I'd report issues here, for example:

That's stick drift and is caused by one of two things.

Joypad on the way out or needing reset.

In this case for me?

Deadzone settings way too sensitive.

I changed mine to 85 upper and 0.6 lower and it stopped the menu drift.

Is that 0.85 Outer and 0.06 Inner? I tried this but the menus are still drifting.

I've just googled this and it looks to be a common issue on all platforms, including PS5 so hopefully it gets patched soon.

Yeah, I'm watching a movie and having food so misnamed them.

If that's not fixed it then check on "ps4 stick drift fixes", there's an issue with the controllers since the PS3 wireless days that would require a reset of the handset to fix; and worse it was also a sign that the micro-switches on the joypad were about to go and you were needing a new controller.

Hopefully if it's just this then it's something that can be patched if it is indeed the game and not a deadzone or mechanical issue.

Actually it hasn't resolved the issue entirely but it has reduced the times it does it. It's not as bad now so thank you! :)

My only real issue now is the game not keeping my controller and graphics settings when I boot it up! Sometimes it does keep them but occasionally it resets them back to default, which is irritating for someone who plays with inverted controls and hates subtitles, film grain and motion blur!

Try setting the dead zones in the Controls settings to 0.85 Outer and 0.06 Inner. @RaarMoo suggested this to me as they found it resolved it for them. Unfortunately, although it didn't resolve it for me it has improved and doesn't happen as often.

Try 0.10 inner, 0.8 outer and if that fixes it adjust to your own speed settings.

I found the 0.05 and 0.9 way too fast and also inducing drift.

Just seen a hefty 17GB update pop up in my Downloads - Version 1.04! This is promising!

On PS4 pro driving is bad :( ... Camera switch is lagging. Objects not appearing. The frame rate is poor. Patch did not fix anything. Feeling disapointed for preordering. Feels like I need to wait for PS5 and hope that till that time bugs will be fixed. Right now there is no fun to play it.

Yea, framerate is still bad around the appartment. What bothers me the most tho is people and cars disappearing when i turn away for a sec. Also, how the hell was that recorded on PS4 Pro?

On my PS4 Pro game crashes appr. all 4 hours with CE-34878-0

To be said that:
- patch 1.04 is installed (no change and also crashed before)
- orginal hdd is installed (as is the whole ps4pro not modified)
- PS4 PS-Version is 8.0.3

I reported the issue every time but i don't think it behaves on what i was doing. It just comes with time. (Memory leak?)

Edit: about the gamepad issue with drifting:
i play on the original controller with following settings just fine:
- Outer Nullzone: 0.90
- Inner Nullzone: 0.10

I'm having the same issue with the menus slowly scrolling on their own. Rather annoying. I also find my character walking on his own when I come out of a cut scene. Hope they patch it soon, but with the list of things that needs fixing, I'm not sure where that falls on the list...

I also notice the text on screen jumps up and down, ever so slightly. Its driving my eyes crazy
