Pre-orderd for myself and as a gift, They are slowly stripping a game we were intialy promised
its why i dont preorder any more even for games really excited for there before we get plenty of actual gameplay footage (not just trailers). Is no room for the disappointment because something they originally planned on got changed for one reason or another.

Two copies? Are you that good at multitasking? :-D

Hey I used to have 3 accounts of Dark Age of Camelot that ran simultaneously In pve areas. then again was using alot of macros and it had an auto-follow feature

I'd think it more mature to not freak out because a toon in a video game has underwear.

(You can have the option to toggle it, I don't mind. But it needs to exist as the main image and setting.)

That's precisely my point and the reason why it needs to be shown with no limitations.
People need to get accustomed to having this in video games.
That's one reason, and a revolutionary but certainly important one.
Secondly punk is synonymous with rebellion and therefore so to say illegal freedom.
Me and my friends from the same block were hanging out at the basketball park around 18:00. 2 of them were good people we also hang out with when we meet them, a punk couple. (Now married)
So with the bold text on mind be sure to expect the unexpected, we were laughing and this girl just randomly flashes her boobs out of laughter, while he's all cool with it. We averted the gaze of course but the convo continued.
It's a normal punk attitude, that's why we were all casual about it like it never happened.
And for a cyberPUNK game to be censored it makes no absolute sense. It practically needs to push the boundaries. It needs to rebel against the system as it is the very core and foundation of that same genre targeted towards the side of the market which is fully aware of said topics.
Out of all - punk subgenres, this is the one that really needs nudity as it is one of the substances that make up it's world. It's nothing strange to find a victorian burlesque sex show in steampunk or a nazi or gay sex scene in dieselpunk genre. But, while dieselpunk can in truth be "run" by sexuality, you don't see that in common dieselpunk creations. Yet cyberpunk is where it's at, as that subgenre is the biggest dystopia apart from post apocalypse and dystopia itself. Any run down system with inhabitants is bound to get arrogant, ignorant, dirty, egoistic. Just as it is common for such run down quarters of life to throw garbage in the sea or live at a garbage disposal it is common for prostitution to take place. Therefore to properly show-don't-tell what said genre is about it needs nudity, it needs to fight against censorship. I am not expecting Subverse out of this, I just want the rebellious aspect to come to the forefront to the fullest extent. In a world run by prostitution you won't live long enough to succumb to it (die like a hero or live long enough to be the villain, that's where this came from) you will succumb to it as soon as your metality grows mature, which is what we are playing as, a responsible human being who can think for themselves. And being a punk it cannot come to a surprise if you piss through the window or yell on speakers during intercourse as your neighbour hits the ceiling from underground.

Oh, kay.... I am going to assume there is some language barrier at work here...

Showing a naked cartoon in a video game is hardly revolutionary - Funcom has the "one-uppance" over everyone at the moment, by the way. And again, freaking out over a cartoon character in a video game getting underwear is hardly a display of maturity.

A cartoon depiction of a naked body yields a "mature" rating for the game because that's the term used in the ratings to represent merely "old enough to watch", not because the game is a depiction of what is understood as "maturity", that's to say, wisdom, sophistication, experience, capability...

I'll add, in my view, saying that a video game needs cartoon nudity and people better get used to it actually shows immaturity.

Personally, whether there is or isn't a naked cartoon is my game is not going to make or break a game (or any other form or entertainment) for me.

Shocker, of course it isn't going to make or break it for you. Because you obviously don't stand for creators to simply have the ability to include whatever they wish in their own game, their own game... And don't you try bouncing off of this, saying i contradict myself by doing the very same thing. I do not dictate what to do. I realize what the genre consists of, the capabilities of the mature rating, the current state of gaming and opportunities CD is able to take in this situation. I'm not trying to change the game, I'm voicing myself in hope for the game's vision to stay as it is. And that means uncensored. Not one person does create or imagine im their head a model without the hip part and breasts. They model the whole body and degrade it with pixels afterwards. Why? To magically lower the rating and push the game to the wrong age group. But most of all because society today is afraid, soyboys are afraid of sexual depictions. Were it not like that the visual (model) would be shown in its entirety. It is revolutionary within it's own medium circle. I never implied the wide world or reality was in question. CDPR is first a break through studio with The Witcher, with their passion and vision. Cyberpunk 2077 is a/one of the graphically advanced games about to come, presenting a big leap in RPG games regarding depth. So yes, it damn well is revolutionary to put frontal nudity and sex inside a game (in which drugs and prostitution is common) that has the eyes of many gamers and gaming sites on it. One needs to break the imposed barrier by the people who freak out over full nudity in video games and comics so the barrier no longer exists, and cyberpunk is perfect for it. Else those people will ramble on. Which you wouldn't be bothered by I take it? Well I would, because I've had it with artists changing their variant covers and their intended ideas for games, music or other projects just because someone out there is offended by something they would've ignored in the first place were it not for some random encounter. If I was a creator of any kind I would not succumb to this bullshit, and I don't want a studio with so much passion to do that either.

If they want to sell their game some places, they'll likely have to self censor parts of it. IIRC TW3 was censored in some locations. Also, generally speaking they'll definitely want to avoid an AO rating since it's been developed to come out on PS4 and XB1.

This has me extremely concerned for CDPR's commitment to the intended vision and themes that they stated the game would feature
I really don't think it's much to worry about. Personally I think that hitting someone with nudity right out of the gate is a bit much, and could distract from the purpose of the creation for any audience, not just a press one. To be presented with nudity as one of the first things you see gives the idea that it's a core facet of the game, and not just a part of the world. The 48 minute demo went out of its way to remind viewers that the game was still in a highly fluid state, and anything could've been changed.
It doesn't concern me. I'd probably make the same choice.

I am honestly surprised that people are so upset at the fact that the game may not have nudity...

Why do you need nudity so badly in a /game/?

Why don't you read the posts. We want people to understand our points, almost all of us already answered this. I did in detail for myself at least.

As funny as i find it that there are more votes for straight up porn, it would never happens, it would be rated R in america and shops wouldn't sell it. not so bad in the uk. so id say something along the lines of softcore porn, might be as close to that as you could get and would still be doubtful, which is a shame cuz i wouldn't be against it.

I mean, going full on hardcore would make the game rated high enough that pretty much no one would stock it, not just in the US. Australia/NZ and most Asian markets for one. lots of Europe is stricter than you realize.

which was my point from the start of the thread. why even ask when it was never a possibility?

In Cyberpunk2077, when I shoot an opponent with the shotgun in the head and it explodes, everyone says that's the way it has to be, that's what it must feel like.

I mean, I don't think everyone necessarily cares that much about it. I personally just want a cohesive style. the level of extremity really doesn't add or take much from the game to me.

Sex is a big part of the game. Ignore the thread if it's not your cup of tea! Jeez, no one's making you click on it :disapprove:

I wasn't aware that a discussion was only allowed to have one side of the argument represented.

this isn't the "I love porn in games" thread, it's the "Lets discuss what we want and expect out of the sex in the game" thread.

me thinking that one possible option is dumb does not preclude this thread from being relevant, because it's a discussion. my opinion is 100% relevant.

Just because they're wearing underwear in the demo/game doesn't mean anything lol. There's nudity in TW3 and there will be nudity in CP2077 as well. Nudity is especially important in the Cyberpunk universe because of augmentation and everything too.

This thread isn't even about romance options. It's people debating about whether they want preset sexual cutscenes or ultra HD vascular cocks with full nudity.

You make that sound like a bad thing.:sneaky:

You know what's really weird We went from Agro's Children's programs

This is NSFW but also a CHILDREN'S PROGRAM!

They WERE NOT OUT TAKES it was all LIVE TV

now we have garbage like teletubbies

It's so bad in Australia where censorship is now.

Assuming the OP info is all correct, I can see why they would do this.

Having nudity appear in-game when its appropriate due to the characters interactions and sex life, much of which, if not all, will be due to the players deliberate choices, makes complete sense.

Having character creation models standing there nude while we spend ages changing details, rotating them and zooming in and out just doesn't add anything to the actual gameplay itself, worse, some players might object they have no say. Yeah, I know, it's a mature rated game but that doesn't mean everyone wants tits, ass and intimate bits in their face while they're just trying out different blusher colours, heh.

Why do the majority want the scenes in third person when the game is first-person. If people want this game to be more immersive, then why is first-person mode in third place in this poll?

Some people are just chickens without a head running around and not knowing what they want in the game.

Because FPP sex scenes would be awkward. A little more artistic flourish would be better IMO. Keep in mind that CDPR has said that some cutscenes will be in 3rd person (like when V wakes up in her apartment). I would expect sex scenes to be included in those.

Hey, I never wanted FPP to begin with (It's not actually "immersive" to me at all) so the more TPP put in the better. This is consistent with my tastes from the beginning :p Having a pair of disembodied hands try to get it on with some random person is even more awkward than the standard disembodied hands floating with a gun.

Anyway I just hope we wont have a repeat of Geralt's awkward dirty pantaloons lol. If they don't want to show certain things, fine but use camera angles, cutting away, or fade to black or whatever to get around it. Don't have the girls naked and the guys inexplicably wearing gross dirty shorts XD

no, more that, its dumb debating over something we have 0 chance of even getting.

no, what's really weird is bringing in an Australian kids show to this thread.

No, It was to show what Aussie humour was like can't get away with that anymore because of the censoring PC brigade.

First person sex scene is way too much, especially if you start from bottom.

I wouldnt actually mind if there was porn-shops, you see them in big cities. Small cabins to do your thing etc. As for strip clubs, I think, lets leave that to GTA series. Cyberpunk could be more "naughtier and dirtier".
