Yes. That scene was like the zenith of sex in games. TW3 definitely failed in that department.I disagree. The scenes are just as good.

You referring to the elven bath scene I agree it was a great scene but I don't agree that TW3 failed in that. department.Yes. That scene was like the zenith of sex in games. TW3 definitely failed in that department.
You kidding? It's miles above, say the Triss lighthouse scene.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxKRt-Kx9Ps
It's actually not that much better now than I think about it.
If your romancing Yennefer they're pretty much equal, but lol yes the Triss scenes are just recycled mocap. You kidding? It's miles above, say the Triss lighthouse scene.
No, not equal - the bath scene is better. Even if you remove the sex part it is still better. If your romancing Yennefer they're pretty much equal, but lol yes the Triss scenes are just recycled mocap.
Seriously, this is 100% true.Yes. That scene was like the zenith of sex in games.
Right? That's what really got me... they used some of the same animations they used for Kira Metz (far better scene)... maybe that's the biggest reason I think the scenes are inferior, because they aren't as "unique". I also think Triss would have deserved a second scene if you romanced here.If your romancing Yennefer they're pretty much equal, but lol yes the Triss scenes are just recycled mocap.
Exactly. This is one of the reasons why the elven bath scene is so good in TW2. It has playfulness, teasing, intimacy. What i found disappointing was that regardless of who you romanced you got the same few shots of "couple being intimate" with no playfulness, voiced responses or dialogue. This meant that the best "sex" scene in the game was the opening scene when Yennifer plays with Geralt having a bath. Okay, so there is no sex but there is intimacy, character and immersion which is the supposed function of the sex to begin with.
I think CDPR has more male devs than female ones and, more importantly, their audience, we are mostly males. And the game is much more close to a masculine fantasy than a feminine. I think it is to be expected it having "a lot more female nudity than male". And I hope they do not show women's genitalia on the sex scenes because Geralt's model has no penis. And I also hope if they have penises in their future projects that it is because they want to and not because they feel pressured to achieve cosmic balance. To be fair, we got a lot more female nudity than male. Only time you even see Geralt's buttcheeks is during Yen's sex scene. But we'll take what we can get, I suppose... ALTHOUGH, apparently they were going to give Geralt a pork sword in-game but it would take up too much processing power to constantly animate while running around.

Relevant part starts at 1:04:50 mark. I think it's hilarious that the devs had an argument about Geralt's penis. CDPRED knows where it's at.
Haha, found this really funny. But also true. Even if the game is mostly awesome, it seems castrated and totally not what they intended to do with it. Maybe a mature pc patch coming?16 hours of mocap my ass
But the dev even says in the interview that they want to be equal in the explicit content they show. It makes no sense from an outsider standpoint to censor almost all male nudity and let chicks' tits hang out - that isn't how it works in real life, right? It's not so much about being "fair", but more about accurately representing sex and intimacy in the world they've created. It's a bit of an immersion-ruiner when a majority of the men are almost always covered by underwear while the woman beside them is nude, because it doesn't make sense.I think CDPR has more male devs than female ones and, more importantly, their audience, we are mostly males. From a purely technical standpoint, a bare chest is bare chest, no matter the gender, no?But the dev even says in the interview that they want to be equal in the explicit content they show. And, as a girl, I can tell you that there are a lot of female players. The gaming market is expanding like crazy, and the argument "we're mostly guys here so it's okay to show more boobs than dudebutt" gets weaker by the day.
Yeah, that is true. Geralt is shirtless several times in the game - hell, it's the opening shot. I'm more talking about underwear though. Yen's FULLY naked on at least two separate occasions, where Geralt's wearing those gross granny panties of his. However, on the whole, the game does seem less progressive in the nudity/sex department than W2, for both genders. From a purely technical standpoint, a bare chest is bare chest, no matter the gender, no?
On male nudity: I would be absolutely fine with showing Geralt ass if it would mean we get to see Ciri's in the sauna... I'm all for equality there. Now, that the media is usually shying away from showing male genitalia, while showing a bush here and there can be ok... I have no idea why that is, personally. Maybe it has to do with the fact that female parts still are somewhat hidden, even in a full frontal shot... beats me. *shrugs*
I really hope you are joking. I'm not commenting on the DAI sex scenes because I've not played DA2 or DAI yet. But the violence and gore in MKX is so over the top gross it is not even funny.I think this is how the sex scenes in Cyberpunk or the next Witcher game will look like
And this how the violence will look like:

Then CDP has officially adapted to the american-way of making "adult" games.
How so? I know the Succubus is an example but overall I think it's just as good as TW2.Yeah, that is true. Geralt is shirtless several times in the game - hell, it's the opening shot. This I agree with. Nudity is far too often taken as sexual even when it isn't. Part of that is in the US ads use nudity too often. Like a jewlery company in KY having a topless girl to advertise rings. She has her arm over her breasts but still. I may be american and christian but I believe we have poisoned the minds of people that nudity is sex which it is not. Breasts are not sexual either male or female unless portrayed in a sexual manner. It's a reason I support this.http://gotopless.org/And then the whole Ciri thing. Nudity =/= sexuality. Did anyone take those old woman boobs int he sauna as sexual? Or the bruxa in the Night to Remember trailer? She was naked, but certainly not to get jiggy with Geralt. I understand them wanting to portray Ciri as a daughter figure, but then that's knocked flat when you get the opportunity to proposition Skjall for some quality time in the stables. And Yen is a mother figure, but is still sexualised, so why not Ciri? She's an adult, and it even mentions Mistle (her love in the books for those who don't know) in the sauna if you walk in without a towel.
