Sexual cut scenes, prostitutes and whore houses will be able to be avoided?

Honestly, when I think gore I think MK, not TW3. In TW3 when you cut someone in half his body is a red blotch without any unsettling details. You aren't faced with brains, entrails, bones and what have you.

Why are you teasing us, with these juicy 'what could have been' features =(

Nudity really isn't avoidable in this game. Not only is it in important story cutscenes, but there are also monsters that are "topless" (if you consider showing breasts nudity.)

Brothels, prostitutes, etc. are skipable. However, both Witcher 1 and Witcher 2 had questlines that required you to sleep with a whore to finish the quest. So if you're trying to completely avoid sex scenes you may not be able to finish certain sidequests.

Could someone tells why people have problems with nudity but are ok with blood, gore, violence? Yeah, I know many of us like brutal/horror movies, games, TV-series, it's in the human race, but what about nudity? And now I mean mainly US.. Europe too, but here it isn't as a big problem like in the US

World's biggest religions and governments are not very into sex you know ^^ But they always need some blood to shed so yeah, our societies have a quite distorted view on love, sex and violence

And for the topic, I think the guy asking the question would better play other games, Action-RPGs without sex aren't rare.

I have dozens of games I'm satisfied with and frankly dont have time to enjoy what I do have with a Family of 6. So my world wont end if I choose not to play this but it does seems like the devs have created a gorgeous world to play in.
Ill wait to see if the developers possibly comment further in this thread as to the spicifics of what cann be avoided. I have 3 weeks until release anyway.

Thanks to you for explaiin us your reasons. I can imagine it would be great for some players that a game like TW3 seems will be might be missed it for certain parts of its contains. I hope the wonders that CDPR have done with this game can be imitated by other devs and then they could create shuch an awsome game avoiding this disturbing parts for some people.

IMO, I doubt CDPR avoid sex scenes or strong violence in the future because it's part of their culture. As they always say, they make the games they like to play.

Crikey mate, really? That slow stab death scene in Saving Private Ryan would be enough traumatize your average 20 yr old. I respect your stance but a pair of nips don't even come close to the violence in that film.

Agreed... the love interest sex scenes are not avoidable, I'd say. Prostitutes/brothels and stuff most likely are... it's an adult game, and that encompasses all forms of adult themes.

Given that Yennefer and Triss are gonna be big parts of the game and there may even be a binary choice between the two then I'd say at best it will be challenging to avoid the romance scenes of the game. They are intrinsic to the Witcher franchise and experience now.

And you never know if characters like Cynthia are going to show up. Even random brothel scenes were unavoidable in TW2 (think back to Margot's room in Flotsam when pursuing Triss and Letho)

I agree. Although...Maybe not on the Saving Private Ryan part. When I was growing up, I wasn't allowed to see anything with boob, OR major gore...Although my dad would sneak by with horror movies sometimes xD. I don't see why this is a big issue with some people, someone might think it's weird but that doesn't mean it's right to tell that person how weird they are lol. I certainly don't want to get into it because I can't stand arguments or anything like them, But it does bug me when people say how weird someone/something is because of their viewpoints or the way they feel about something
