So after over one year of Shani fans getting squat CDPR finally did something, and I thank them for it as a Shani fan. There is finally an explanation to it and I really hope no one uses this as ammunition against CDPR like Bioware fans do when their LI just isn't written the way the want.

This totally ruins my headcanon where Shani cheats on Geralt with the Kayran, the two run off, and then the Kayran, upon finding out about her past dalliances with Geralt, goes to Flotsam in order to exact vengeance on him.

But I guess this works, too. Thanks for sharing.

nice to get a explanation to why Shani isn't in the game, although it's still a shame she's not I chose to be with her in my Witcher 1 play through and was bummed to find she wouldn't be in the Witcher 2 with no real reason why, still was hoping she would make an appearance in the EE but i guess this is better than nothing.

Ultimately it is something very reasonable that is true to what Shani is as a character and what she wants: commitment. Geralt makes a point in TW at many points that he is not the person that can do that.

Nice! I'm very happy they at least added a journal entry for her. I assume, however, that this is an entry you only get if Geralt romanced her in TW1; is there a different entry if you did not? Also, this whole thing would imply that at least one more plot flag is now imported into TW2, and I'll have to revisit my final saves from TW1. So many new save combinations!

So, this would make Triss not second best (after Yennefer) but now third best (after Shani as well)? Clearly, she has some/many ulterior motive(s) for still clinging to the witcher.
