You are right but test it in combination with the mastercrafted wolfen trouser and boots. So I combine the viper main armor additionally with the wolf swords and gloves (because the scales of the viper gloves and main armor ist not exactly the same in my eyes). It lookes awesome!!!For me, of course. I see people complaining about it, asking for reskin... I don't want that. Love it just like this.

Long long years ago Geralt heard that sheep farmers around Kaer Morhen had a problem. Sheep after Sheep was getting killed.
After some research using his Witcher Instincts and investigating the dead bodies of the sheep and the traces, Geralt found out that a Howler was wandering around in the fields of Kaer Morhen. http://thewitcher3.wiki.fextralife.com/Howler
This was even before he was a full-mutated Witcher.
To protect his body against the ram attacks of the Howler, Geralt made his first armor ever - he just called it the "Kaer Morhen Armor".
Now 70 years later Geralt likes to think about the old times in Kaer Morhen, when Foltest and Vesemir were still alive and when he found the one and only Kayran he ever met in the swamps around Flotsam... When he first met Triss and much more.
But this Armor is still in use and one of Geralts favorites, and it was enhanced by Geralt himself over the years. All the worn leather parts were exchanged to sturdy archgriffin leather, the chest armor plates were reinforced with real dragon skin scales (a Witcher would never kill a beast with intelligence and awareness, but he found a dead 1000 year old dragon in a cave some years ago) and similiar to the Caparison of Lament Saddle the dragon skin parts are always warm and cozy inside so this armor is even more comfortable than the similiar Level 3 Cat Witcher Armor.
Sorry I needed to write some fan fiction because I finally have the Kaer Morhen Armor back and the new Viper armor.
Maybe you like these Horror Storys, they might need a Witcher for this problem:
