It makes for a very minor difference but honestly I don't mind that too much cause I think CDPR did an excellent job with the visuals in the HoS areas.

Yeah CDPR did a great job on those areas, I can see a few differences for example the modded one is more cold than the vanilla.

They're dyepits. They're either making dyes, or dying fabric (I've never hung around for long enough to find out. I have, however, fallen into the sluice canals a few times.)
