Αlchemy vs Deathwish ( I was alchemy)

Round 3, Vesemir + Roach into Dragon's Dream in the row with the opponent's D'ao

Opponent plays Ozzrel and eats the spy
Then, Vilgefortz into burning a 4 point Calveit and pulling...Mandrake

Resulting point swing: 28 (Dragon's Dream, not counting Vesemir or Roach) + 18 (Mandrake) + 9 ( Vilgefortz) - 4 (Damaged Calveit killed to enable Cahir) = 51 points. Opponent forfeited immediately afterwards :p

The max till now I have got is a 75+ points Shirru, against NG handbuff. The opponent went two cards down in R1 and drypassed R2. So, it was a long R3. I had 2 Swordmasters, AC, Mandarake, Lacarate and Shirru (Yes, I was 100% lucky with the best hand possible) and played Eithnè. The opponent sensed that I had Shirru and tried to play around it with T:T and boosting on different units, but ultimately, I setup the three Spotters with 23 points (from 18 point NK). My Shirru was also boosted a couple of times with a Dragoon. The biggest Scorch I had ever had. Of course, before playing Shirru, I taunted "Lackeys like you we coat in honey and tie you down an anthill". :p

lol :p I find scorching to be the most refreshing when it kills as many units as possible xD 3 is pretty close to the mark :p

I had a 46 point Villentretenmerth by scorching about 5 strength 9 units of my opponent, and one of my alchemists :p It wasn't that big but it was awesome xD

The other day I was playing Spies against Calveit Reveal. We went on Round 3 on equal cards, 5 cards on hand, and in my case, 5 on the deck. I had De Wett, Cantarella, Geralt: Igni, Vilgefortz and a Vicovaro Medic. We draw a card each as Round 3 begins, mine is a Rot tosser that I decide to keep. The remaining 4 were Assire, Letho: Kingslayer, NG gate (dead) and another Rot Tosser.
I opened with the Vicovaro Medic to steal a Nilfgaardian Knight for 13 points, Opponent played Assire and shuffled back some of his units. I played cantarella next to his Assire and drew Letho: Kingslayer, placing the Rot Tosser at the bottom of the deck which was the other option. Next, I knew what De Wett was going to pull, so I played him on the row with Assire and Cantarella, it pulls my Assire, and I shuffle back Ceallach and a Strengthened (STR 9) Nauzicaa Brigade in my deck). We continue playing, I play a Rot Tosser, he plays Sweers and throws the other Rot Tosser to the graveyard. Then it was time for

Letho: Kingslayer -> NG Gate -> Ceallach -> Emissary -> Nauzicaa Brigade -> Kills Joachim :p 24 points, also enabling the ticking Rot Tosser to kill Sweers xD

Then I kept my Vilgefortz, Geralt: Igni'd my Cantarella and then the opponent played Ciri: Nova which died to Vilgefortz only to draw my opponent a revealed fire scorpion. Awesome match all around :D

I played casual games with my normal/usual deck which which I get to R20 (after reaching 399+ mmr, I don't play ranked, so that I can be in top 10k). So, I played against an opponent whose level (not rank) was 2 or 3. Very new player. The opponent went 2 cards down in R1 and continued R2 and depleted all his cards and in the end I had four cards in my hand in R3 and the opponent had only 1 card. He/she played Geralt and Triss and it was obvious the collection was very poor. So, in R3, I simply passed so that we get tie and we both get 2 rounds for the dailies. But guess what? He/she deployed the one card and won the game :( [but I was kind of OK since it was a completely unfair game]

Yeah man I always pity those dudes when I get matched with them. Sometimes I even get a red coin against them. That's like, so unfair. They can't even play ranked yet why the hell am I matched against them with the bloody baseline consume deck? :p

There was this dude who was level 3 or so playing a very slightly modified NR starter deck (which if you are wondering is the worst starter. It's got machines and the only crewman is the leader, and it doesn't have blue stripes). Poor fella was reading every card I placed on the board :p Harpies, Celaeno Harpies, Forktails, Kayran, literally every card. I tried to play a bit slowly and give him time to understand what I am doing at least, but because the baseline consume is the second best tempo deck after NG handbuff, there was no way he could match me from the start. Sometimes when I see players like that I wanna friend them and maybe train with them a bit and give them some tips. I have ALL the starter decks after all, we can totally play on equal level. But then again maybe they'll see that attitude as condescending, if it even is something they would be interested in

With the Skellige faction challenge, a lot of players are trying the faction with different tactics, like Olaf + Adrenaline Rush. So, I open with Cynthia, revealing Olaf... *opponent forfeits* (Not that I am running a netdeck or anything.)

Had a weird one the other day. I open passed on blue coin since I didn't draw a great hand, so needed more mulligans. So then my opponent after some time plays silver spy. So I thought, here comes barclay cleaver. But no, to my surprise they passed and I won on even! Wait, what?!

OMG! I thought my deck was too good just with the 3 Vilgefortz xD I didn't even get Stefan Skellen :p

Tibor though, not a good card. Considering an average bronze is worth around 11, he gets 15 - 14 points of pure value.
During my successful arena run in this special mode, I won against an opponent because he played 3 Tibors and kept drawing me cards.

Sitting at 4296 MMR with Voorhis.

Seeing some famous players up here :p

To be fair I had a natural advantage both times, as he was playing Nekkers the first, and Soldiers the second.
But the second was one of my favorite matches ever, as he drypassed Round 1, and I placed 3 Mangonels on Round 2, then fired Voorhis, Vattier De Rideaux and an Alchemist :p Got 70 points ahead and only 1 card down, then passed. After he played 2 more cards, he was still 21 points behind, so he just forfeited, which I get xD

I was doing a ranked match. The opponent was playing the hand buff deck with nilfgaardian knight.
After a while, waiting for him to set up the whole hand buffing thing. Half way, when I figured he'd only have those 18 - 21 point cards in his hands and he had already lost one round, I dropped Villentretenmerth and I could see him panic. Sadly I couldn't see his face, but if I had, I'd probably see the terror in his eyes.

He was taking ages to play a card, moving over his cards, unsure what to do. He played alchemist, which wasn't a bad idea as it was lower than his 20+ cards, only he had two more rounds to go.

Then, he came up with the idea to buff my cards instead. Not a bad idea. Only then... he buffed Villentretenmerth. Thinking he got me now, he buffed it again. Then, as beautiful as the Northern Lights across a clear sky, I see his 20+ cards burn up, and my Villy sitting there with 48 points.

I had to laugh so hard I am amazed I could finish the round

It was an Arena game. I drypassed and opponent won R1 and starts playing R2. He got 16 points Makaham defender as his first card. I used Shupe Mage, but unfortunately didn't get Charm, but drew a card. The opponent still doesn't pass and continued playing.
After a few turns, I got a 13 points Vrihedd Officer on Ranged row and 13 points Keadweni Cavalry in Seige row (along with Shupe). Since the opponent had 16 points unit, I was OK with having two 13 points units. The opponent uses Black Blood->Drowner, sends the Officer to Seige Row, but with 11 points. At this point, I was ready for G:I and to lose 13 points, since siege row has 13+4+11.
Things start to get spicy now. After one or two rounds, the opponent used NG Rune, gets Frigilla and uses between Seige and Cavalry, effectively making my Shupe 13 points. I said "You've my gratitude" and thought it was his mistake. The opponent immediately replied "Don't like to look of this". But then I realized. It may be to align for G:I. I used by Ida, and Thunder my own Shupe so that the row has 13+1+4+11. I was still fine with losing 13 points to G:I. Now, the opponent uses his Ida and puts Fog on the row to make it 11+1+4+11. I used my Gremist and killed my 4 points Shupe to make the row < 25. After a few rounds he Passes and we go to R3 with me having 2 cards advantage.
But there is no way to know if he actually had G:I and Frigillla was not a mistake. But I felt it was a good game, back to back counters with the assumption that he had G:I and losing purposefully my own points felt weird. If he actually had G:I, it was a brilliant game from him. Luckily I had a great hand and countered. Kudos to him!

@rrc these are always the best most tense matches :) I love it when that happens xD Just now my opponent was trying to avoid my scorch but had a Kaedweni Knight and a Reaver scout. He played Stennis and got a heavily armored kaedweni knight, while having another that was 11 points. He played a thunderbolt potion to buff the armored kaedweni knight so that later he could tutor another with his reaver scout, but I scorched the armored one, played Villentretenmerth and hit the last one with a fire scorpion to bring it down from 14 to 11 :p

More recently, though, I had the weirdest match with spies ever. I get my opening hand, 10 cards, no emissary. I mulligan away 3 cards, blacklisting Impera brigades, still no emissary :p I had 3 vicovaros and ceallach though so I was like let's do this.
I play Ceallach with Emhyr and return him to my hand, playing a brigade. Then I played an enforcer to kill the spawned emissary. Following with ceallach again, a vicovaro medic, AND decoy onto ceallach and through all the spawned emissaries, I NEVER saw any of my original emissaries in my options for bronze units :p I ended up with 3 engine units on the board that were like, an enforcer, a 10 point brigade and a 12 point brigade :p Opponent obviously passed, we go into the next round, I draw 2 more cards, still no emissary (!) :p I drypass, we go into the 3rd round, 2 more cards, one I drew and a mulligan, still no emissary!!! :p

I play my other 2 vicovaros to resurrect spawned emissaries, and guess what. That's right. Still none of my original emissaries in my options. Ever :p My brigade was only 8 points, with my opponent just thundering it down like it's nothing.

So that's 10 cards drawn, 3 mulliganed and blacklisted some more, ceallach twice, decoy onto ceallach, and 3 vicovaros medics, along with 3 more cards drawn and 2 more mulliganed (so 18 out of 25 cards drawn, and then 6 emissaries played) to NEVER even see any of the original emissaries at all. I've never had that kind of bad luck before.

I just had another hilarious match. Way more hilarious than the previous. I was doing another ranked. There was an opponent who played skellige greatsword and longship deck. He dry passed the first round. I was thinking whether I should play a card and bleed the next round, but I actually want to dry pass first round myself, so I figured I'd dry pass as well.

Next round, I know full well what he is trying to do. I had quite the tricky deck myself, so I figured I should make it fun. I started playing like an absolute noob. Wasting cards, not using anything effectively, more helping him. Something about playing the fool to fool the fool who thinks he's fooling you. Eventually I was about 130 points behind. He had three rows with greatsword and longship set up, plus 8 cards top row because I had put weather on the bottom two. The top cards were over 100 points, massively buffed. Then, as he and I both had only 2 cards to play, I say 'watch this', and ever so gently place sabrina glevissig on the top row. After that, I hit it with lacerate, making the 4 power card on row a 1 power... and I see the beautifully lined up powerhouses.... become 1 each. He went from 130 points to 38 in one turn. The guy instantly ragequit and disconnected. Having to wait for me to get my win didn't make it any less sweet, though.

4157 MMR, playing Ranked

Voorhis Reveal (me) vs Alchemy.

Going into the last round a card over the opponent, but that card is a revealed fire scorpion and he shuffled back a dead cantarella into my deck. He draws Sweers, his only card, I draw ADC (bricked due to the dead cantarella) and swap it for Yen: Enchantress.

I play my Fire scorpion, he plays Sweers. Here's the thing though. I then play Yen: Enchantress into Last Wish and my 2 options are the dead Cantarella and ADC! And just when I thought "damn, lost this game", BOOM, opponent forfeits! :D

That was SO awesome :D
