She dwarves and other major races

is it just me or is that CDPR should include female dwarves too in future titles? can't help but to notice it was kinda funny that an entire gender of a race was missing :p

and what about inclusion of other races? Orcs would be cool (haven't or should I say couldn't read any of the books so don't know how well it would go if ever done)
this could be a unique creation of the studio themselves

The qunari in Dragon Age were cool, a rebellious, aggressive and HUGE race apart from the oppressed elves and dwarfs

and speaking of huge, could develop more on trolls too!

Thoughts?

Female dwarves - yes.
Orcs and Qunari - never. The Witcher's world has nothing to do with that standard fantasy personnel.

I dont care about Orcs, they have been done a million times and Qunari are basically the same things, just religious.
I think female dwarves are a joke in most games, they are always mentioned but never shown. Or they are hiding from Geralt :p
But really, how would you design a female dwarf to not look like a male dwarf with breasts and without a beard ?

Also, the only other race in Witcher books are gnomes.

Troll good. Troll bridge build. Troll Elf-meat with onions cook. Wisha like? Taste like tomato. More Troll betta.

If the game needs any new races, it needs gnomes or Vran.

I have a village full of dwarves in my adventure "Medical Problems 2," and it felt very weird to have to populate that village entirely with men. I know it's common in fantasy to have female dwarves be missing/invisible/exactly like male dwarves, but it still felt strange.

Of course, The Witcher's dwarves are wonderful, so I'm very grateful for the dwarves we DO get. I'd love to see an expansion pack that has Geralt going to Mahakam to do something or other with Zoltan there -- as far as I'm concerned, the more dwarves, the better.

In TW1, Kalkstein was one of my favorite characters, and Geralt speculates (in his journal) that Kalkstein might have gnome blood. I'd love to see some gnomes in TW3. (Of course, I'm married to a computer science professor, so engineers who are passionate about research might appeal to me more than they do to other players. )

Yep, definitely needs more orcs, qunari, geth and quarians. Also anime-style mechs and pirate ninjas.

How could I forget them?! Well, there are also dopplers as intelligent races but they are really rare.

Troll's were a hilarious addition, I feel confident that CDPR will make any additions memorable.

Quoting Lord of the Rings(not a straigh quote though):
-Ordinary humans for some reason cannot see the difference between dwarf men and women.
-It's the beard :p

Although i've not read all of the Sapkowski books yet so i don't know if there's any dwarf women in them, I would think that as a logical explanation (well, at least for me)because i've seen many similarities between Tolkien's and Sapkowski's novels.

Yep, there are and it's told in the game too. Zoltan at Flotsam inn, speaks about his broken engagement with Eudora Breckenriggs, his fiancè. In W1 he said in the outskirts of Vizima, that he finally decided to marry him, almost forced by her family).

You mean, other than already existance of dyrads, trolls, elves, drawves, halfings?

Orcs would fit right in

qunari i thought was a dragon age creation, so obvoiusly not.

and not to forget she dwarves :p

More or less. They are more a nation, than a race since they also take human children.

Well they have green skin.

So I'd say they are a race in the "they are not human" sense.

Unless the human children raised by dyrads also end up with green skin. =D

You all forgot vampires, which are a species in this world. Maybe they could glitter in daylight.

And then maybe I can punch them in the face and tell them to man up. \o/
