Sheathe stripes
Witcher 2 (or people behind it if you will) put a lot of attention to details, even tiny ones, seemingly insignificant like, ah yes, stripes on the sword sheathe. This tiny little thing gave me much satisfaction, but unfortunately I don't see it on Geralt's back on promotional materials for 3rd instalment of our favorite monster hunter, which to me is a huuuuge drawback, now the 2 swords on his back look more like they are attached by willpower (oh I just hate it, many games do that and it's just lazy).
Here's what I'm talking about:
As you can see, there are 2 stripes (of course double it if you have 2 swords equipped), on the higher and lower base of the sheathe, they even move when you draw your sword ! Such a simple thing, yet so amazing and not exploited in similar games !
But when I look at this:
I'm greatly saddened, seriously, sad panda over 9000. Please guys, please, don't forget about those tiny pieces that made W2 so awesome !
And since I actually created that topic, I want to give some honorable mentions to other awesome touches I personally adored in W2:
- Enemies bleeding out even after death while under bleeding effect)
- When you used blade oil, the tip of the sword was actually colored
- Blood on sword after the fight or that lava thingy after fight with gargoyles (yet another amazing detail)
