Should I try to do Hearts of Stone in Act 2 or 3?

Should I try to do Hearts of Stone in Act 2 or 3?

I was curious if anyone knew already if hearts of stone plays a small role in act 3 in any way or form?

On my first playthrough I have the quest for isle of mists. Level 22 quest, I'm level 26, and I wanted to keep doing quests until I was about 5 or 6 levels above isles of mists so I can still get exp. I hear that quest gives you tons! Just curious what others experiences were on how HoS affects little things later on. I know they don't tie in per say but wouldn't the Shani romance change things maybe? Regardless no major spoilers if possible. Spanks

I doubt anything you do in HoS has any impact on the main story, but I would do HoS before you complete the game if I were you.

After main story it all feels a bit hollow.

You still have a long way to go even after the isle of mists btw.

Thanks for the reply, I figured nothing at all will transfer, I was hoping an extra line here and there at best. Oh well.

Yeah. I held off my witcher playthrough for patches, then a bit for HoS. I have 7 days worth of playing on my save, I didn't want the game to feel stale or to progress to much before some of the cool updates and free dlc. I should have beaten the game by now. It's gonna feel weird playing Blood and Wine after main playthrough.

Do it before
Vesemir dies
There's a woman who asks about him in an auction quest.

How can you do this when you have to be level 32 to play it?

Grinding and/or risk taking, REDs said you could go and talk to him about her as well.

there are no acts in the game, you can try the expansion as soon as it's available ;)

Did the same thing. Though I have been milking my first playthrough since May19th.....

Messing around with mods, etc... I just don't want it to end.

I'd do it when you hit the right level, regardless of which act that means.

I wouldn't consider it worth doing a lot of grinding for. It's interesting, sure, but fairly trivial.

It's worth it if you want even the smallest taste of Vesemir backstory though, I'd do a lot more for a whole lot less
