I think a moderate form of Parkour, yes. Stuff like leaping over and down from obstacles with ease, running fast, and maybe dodge rolling. This kind of thing was pretty cumbersome in TW2. I don't want full on Assassins Creed stuff, but I'd love to be able to scale buildings with a grapple or some other gadget, to break into offices at night and steal vital intel and documents.

This.

I would also like to see how our physical abilities evolve depending on what kind of augmentations we obtain.

I don't know if parkour is the right word, but yes, I'd like to be able to sprint, climb, jump, swim, etc. It seems silly to have an open world game and be very limited in the way you move around.

As long as it doesn't detract from the gritty dangerous aspect of gunfights in the game. Far Cry 3, as much as I loved it, had you outrunning gunmen. No.

I thought a scaled down version of the game mechanics in Mirrors Edge would be good. As long as it not the main focus of the game then yes parkour would be good.

I kinda want the climbable stuff to be hidden unlike Witcher 2 where every rock you can climb over is the same damn shape.

just a bit more variety plz.

and there should be cybernetics that increase your jumping a little bit like DE:HR so you can reach places like fire escapes. It felt really good buying that upgrade in Detroit lemme tell ya.

Fluid movement through the environment yes
Stuff like climbing over low walls jumping over trash cans etc. Running jumping and climbing should improve with augmentation. Someone with cyber legs should be able to out run a normal meatbag.
Parkour like assassin creed no

+1 This. I hate the protagonists in most rpgs who can hardly move like a normal human being. Like in the Fallout games or even in TW2. Fluid and agile movement pretty please. And of course it would be great if augs and artificial limbs, skills etc influence the player´s physical abilities! More than in DE:HR.

yes sir.

Nothing silly like AC games no climbing on roofs.. (if that would be possible in this game) just minor over the barricade jumps. But looking at all the games that had it.. AI wasn't the smartest and allowed you to go Rambo and rush them.

As longest combat is challenging and we have cover system. adding parkour similar to what sleeping dogs had shouldn't be a problem.

The AC games were anything but silly, just might have not suited your tasted. AC like hardcore parkour and agility would perhaps make a shooter game like this imbalanced so a tonned down version of it would be great, although personally I wouldn't mind that as well :p

I would say yes tentatively, as long as it's based on Movement Allowance/Leap Ability, and not some pre-packaged animation that's inherent to the level design.

No, we've seen enough. I'm a huge Assassin's Creed fan, but looking at the many games that have been released in the last five years I think we can take a break from the free running. Deus Ex HR didn't need it, this won't either.

yes but if it's something you have chosen to do. What i mean by that is if you chose to modify your character in the way that allows you to jump higher that would be cool "bonus" for you if you would o be able to reach some places other players (who went for let's say pure combat skills) can't.

This. Reminds me of Mirror's Edge, except in third person (if they make the game third person). It makes everything so slick.

Now, there doesn't have to be any flips or handstands or shit. This is perfect.

Of course, imagine persecutions climbing this buildings!

Or a couple of flying police cars chasing you, and you jumping from roof to roof under the rain with an awesome soundtrack
