Should Tell Tale Games make a game on Cyberpunk 2077

They like making games on completely random things like Games of Throne and Borderlands (lol), why not Cyberpunk 2077?
Should CD PR approach them?

My knee-jerk reaction came from the idea that you were suggesting that CDPR, who are already working on CP2077, approach another developer to work on CP2077 (rather than working on a CP2077 offshoot.)

Even so, we currently have *nothing* to go off of. We can't even begin to speculate whether TTG *could* make a game faithful to CP2077, as we don't even have beta gameplay footage to speculate on.

Which would make it a competitor to the CDPR game. And you posted this in the main suggestions section of CDPR's forum why....?

Moving to Off-topic.

A TTG version of Cyberpunk 2020[/I could be great! Not that I've finished Walking Dead, but it is good so far. They should talk to Mike Pondsmith!

A TTG version of 2077 would be redundant. 2077 is a CRPG of 2020, updated for tech and timeline.

I'm all for as many different Cyberpunk 2020 video games as I can get. CRPG, adventure, action-adventure, shooters, you name it.

If TTG made a game in the cyberpunk genre.... that would actually be totally fine with me. I really think they oughta have more of their own IPs anyway.

I really don't know about another game set in the 2020 universe though.

As great as Walking Dead was I haven't even started The Wolf Among Us. The gameplay gets bit boring too often even though they should be perfect games for me :p
I just fear Telltale is stretching themselves too thin and the stories start to loose their edge.
So I go with No this time.

i agree the borderlands game from them is totally redundant especially when the world of borderlands isnt all that exciting to begin with.

CDPR hasn't made the game yet, so considering it as "taking an existing franchise" and adding to it just doesn't work as a concept. If you're talking about them doing a Cyberpunk game, then yes, why not? But doing 2077? At the same time as CDPR? How can that not be competition?

The reason that TTG Borderlands isn't a competitor to Borderlands 2 is that Borderlands 2 has already been out for a year.

i need a dictionary to talk to you you seem not to understand anything im saying. its pretty clear you have never played a TTG game so you dont understand its style. Also i didnt mean they should make one today obviously i meant after Cyberpunk 2077 was finished and out.

And no TTG Borderlands game is not in competition with borderlands games because they are totally different. Borderlands is a shooter and a TTG game is a point and click adventure. Its not based on borderlands 2 either just a story based on the universe.

see thats Randy Pitchford president of Gearbox together with a guy from TTG, see they are not enemies, no competition. They are friends.

Well, you say "obviously i meant after Cyberpunk 2077 was finished" but given responses here, I'd say that wasn't so obvious.

Probably because you didn't say or imply that.

I'd still rather see a TTG 2035 than another version of 2077, actually. Let's see some of the intervening chaos years.

Yes, there's a huge difference between "I think that maybe a year or so after CDPR make CP77 they should approach TTG to make a game based on the same world" and your original post, so thank you for clarifying.

Maybe you could consider this in order to avoid controversy on your next thread?

And, incidentally, the answer is still no, I don't think they should. If TTG want to make a Cyberpunk game, fine, but there's no reason why CDPR should be involved.

Ha. That could have the potential to be awesome.

While they're at it they could at least give us a new Blade Runner game.
