Significant performance issues after patch.

Hello all.

I had The Witcher 2 running very well as of Patch 1.2 I believe. However, with the latest two patches (up to 1.35) I've started having considerable performance issues, mainly stuttering during stream loads and significant frame-rate drops in places that ran fine pre-patch.

My rig:
Windows 7
AMD Athlon Phenom II x4 @ 3.00 GHZ
4 GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 core 216

Anyone else encounter these issues? How did you fix?

Well, you need either to overclock the video card or to buy a new one, the gtx260 isn't enough for the game to play smooth. You could overclock if you have a decent cooling system the cpu as well, to 3.5ghz
Or, if you don't have the money to purchase a new card, lower the game settings, the game looks very similar on high vs ultra.

Lol. That's a lie. Don't try to get me to buy a new card. I already told. I had the game running 1920x1080 with anti-aliasing, v-sync, vignette, wet surfaces, and High shadows, lights, decals, and textures running at a steady 30-60 frames per second. So don't give me that bullshit. Something has changed since patch 1.2 to 1.35 that has affected my performance. I'm also getting occasional freezes (program not responding).

How come I have the same hardware and never gone over 40 fps even in closed rooms no matter the patch version?

First chill, second i don't know what "changed" for you since 1.2 to 1.35, for me the performance increases every patch and video driver. What driver do you use on that card ? If you use the latest one, it's almost useless, try to back down to a proper driver for nvidia 200 series.
