Simple question... WHERE are the SHE-Dwarfs!?

Do male dwarfs mate with women and she-elves??? No, right? where are those pretty ladies? Put some in the Witcher 3, please. ^_^ :listen:

You meet them all the time in Vergen. None are called out by name, but they are there in their bearded splendour. Yowsers.

Hello. In the books from Sapkowski, as in other fantasy worlds, she-dwarves are kept in the home of dwarves because they are sooo beautiful. You know, a short-heighted, plumpy, bearded woman it's like a jewell, and must be kept safe from other men sight. In this case the majority of them live in Mahakam. Perhaps in Wild hunt we can go there and look under the rocks to see if we find one she-dwarf.

I'm not sure if it's mentioned that they are bearded. That's a speculation. Their lack in the streets is indeed strange, the thing is even when you enter some houses, you never see Dwarven women in Vergen.

One of the greatest mysteries in Witcher-verse and I have a feeling the reality is quite creepy.

But I believe the statues in Vergen and the Bar sign indicate female dwarves.

It all comes to back Tolkien, who only briefly mentioned dwarven women on several occasions, and never employed them in his stories. Since his works are basically the source of contemporary fantasy literature, many other writers followed the same way. Sapkowski openly mocks the convention, portraying male dwarves as completely jealous of their women, convinced that every sapient creature in the world only dreams of putting their hands on them.

On the other note, you may remember Zoltan and Dandelion in Flotsam discussing Zoltan's unsuccessful marriage.

Jackson approached it normally, portraying Dwarven women in the Hobbit movie. CDPR could do a better job, doing the same.

I wish CDPR would show us some bodacious she dwarves.

We don't talk about this. It's extremely rude in Dwarven society and implies a less-than-proper interest. Humans. Disgusting. Next you'll be wanting to talk about raising children or elders. Decency standards!

I guess. I understand resources are limited, CDPR should focus on the important things, like crossbows for example.

Well you see, dwarves are particularly jealous of their excitingly bearded women so they keep them from the vicinity of humans and elves so they won't get stolen/raped.
