Skyrim Mods Wow! Can Witcher 3 acheive this?

Blown away by these. Can Witcher 3 achieve this out of the gate?

How does a modder achieve better graphics than a developer. Should developers be aiming higher?

I've been playing a heavily modded Skyrim for over 700 hours, and it's certainly beautiful, but it still doesn't look nearly as good as Witcher 2 on Ultra settings. Developers can easily do better than that, they were just hamstrung by the last generation of consoles that they had to develop for along side PC. Since the Xbone and PS4 is coming out, graphics like you see above will be the "low end" of what PC rpgs are capable of before mods, because in a nutshell, most PC games are developed in such a way that they will not look much better than Xbox 360 or PS3. This will change with the new console generation.

I think the vanilla version of skyrim looks better than those screenshots.

I believe it can. By the way can you tell me name of the mod from pictures?

It's just post processing effects, Witcher 2 alone has better image quality. If you like post processing like that well then just hope Boris makes an ENB for the game.

Well, the developers like to make their game...playable, you think the game will be playable with all that post processing for everybody?

These mods are for only one purpose - screenshots. The game works in 5-6 FPS with them. Some modder from Neogaf said that.

Its from a Neogaf thread, it lists all the mods used in those images.

I would hope with developers building from the ground up, an optimized game targeting next gen specs should look this good if not better.

I'm yet to see any current game look this good, including Witcher 2 at maximum spec. These mods make it look CGI.

From the thread itself, you can see....the game will run like dogshit unless you're some super SLI'd user. Now I don't know about you, but I like to have my games playable with a single card. Not to forget, having actual image quality is better than adding 50 post processing filters.

All improve of graphics will not make a better story-line, to me, the bigest lack of Skyrim.

You can easily achieve this with The Witcher 2. Honestly. ;)

I agree, Witcher is a better game than Skyrim. No harm it wanting it to look better than modded Skyrim on next gen platforms and a 2014 high end PC.

It is not about the amount of shaders and texture resolution. The art style and the locations, the architecture and the details will make the difference.

I'm gonna be honest here, take away the grass and that would like like Vanilla Skyrim. So, imo, TW2 already looks way, way better than those screenshots, except for the grass.

Also this are not the best Skyrim shots i have seen so far. There are even better ones.

The Skyrim skin texture mods are my favourite. Seriously, the people who worked on them are just incredibly talented.

How does it look in motion though? It's all fine and dandy that I can create a 4k screenshot with ENB filters using the 2 titans I have in my system and then resample it but how playable is the game with all the post processing without shelling out your soul? I've tried a few and I wasn't impressed by the performance. Sure it does make the game look more...'dreamy' but it's not graphically superior at all.

If you wanna see real CGI-like game then you should look at MGS5, FOX Engine basically focuses EVERYTHING on image quality. That's what I feel atleast.

I have a crappy GPU, so I don't play TW2 with everything maxed out with ubersampling, but even without that, the image quality is marvellous:
