nomec said:blah this wasn't supposed to go into a debate about how much improvement SLI really gives. I just asked for help and I am still hoping someone out there can maybe provide me with some insight if they have experienced this or might know what I can do. Any help is appreciatedps - i wasn't trying to come off snide or rude or anything I just wanted to stay on topic and i was guilty of not doing that myself [/quot]Sorry for all the subtrafuge guy . It really is silly ! SLI runs fine with this game altho it is not optimised for it . I am running twim 8800s with alternate frame rendering as oposed to split frame so i would look at that . Also turn your vsinc off . Make sure your hertz (refresh rate) are set to compatible with your monitor settings . Set 60 if in doubt and work up . Hope this helps .

I get into the menu and the screen flickers for a little then goes black and comes back into the game. It just repeats this. then when I alt+tab in the bottom right hand corner on my task bar I have a warning that says "display driver has stopped responding and has successfully recovered" and i have to quit the game.
TADA!http://www.evga.com/8800driver/Note the driver revisions "169.44"nomec said:evga 680i rev. A1 mobo... I am pretty sure I just flashed it to the most recent version though but maybe there is something I am missing.evga 8800 ultras (stock speeds) ... currently running the recent beta drivers from nvidia (174.74). 169.25 WHQL drivers give me the same results. I understand the game isn't optimized, etc. for SLI but if people are telling me it works for them it frustrates me that it won't work on my end! Vista Home Premium 32-bit btw.
I think I may have tried this driver already but I'll give it another go and let you know here in a few minutes.LordLethris said:TADA!http://www.evga.com/8800driver/Note the driver revisions "169.44"they tweeked the latest nVidia release. This may solve your problem.I would fully un-install those beta drivers though. get THIS from my website, and install it. then use it to remove all associations with the nVidia beta drivers.Download your PROPPER drivers from "http://www.evga.com/8800driver/" and install them, you should be fine!Fingers crossed anyway
. But SLI is an issue with Vista. You'll probably find that SLI works for the majority who are using XP and only a handfull who use vista
