sluggish control's

everything in this game when it comes to fight is so dang slow and sluggish. dodging is bs in this game seriously, is this not 2015???? are'nt witchers supposed to be complete bad ass at fighting??? then why the hell do i have to hit a monster once and run off waiting for them to do the same thing over and over and run back it and hit and run away????

this is this firtst witcher game ive ever played.

I'll agree with you on the sluggish nature of the controls. Geralt has a pretty wide turning circle which feels very imprecise when playing a game. I absolutely cannot stand walking around in tight spaces (usually indoors) due to how clunky the moment feels.

GTA5 also kinda had this problem, but it was completely fixed by going into first person mode.

I miss the pirouette combat style like in the books that makes him change his possition in very small areas. The dodges are ok, he is using it in fights against monsters, but against humans a pirouette move with auto parrying would be great.

The controls are poor. Some people don't mind, some people do. After three games with mediocre combat it's becoming increasingly clear that CDPR just aren't very good at it.

I disagree. I think the controls are just fine. They take a bit to get used to. My impression is that Geralt's movements have a weight behind them and thats why the controls seem sluggish to you.

I think its better from the other two games and I like the fact that timing is the most essential to counter or dodge and be in a position to attack with better results, it could be better but its really satisfying for an rpg (usually combat kinda sucks in rpgs)

The controls are poor, though. "Weight" is not the case. Go play Dark Souls and then compare with this.

Controls feel great and responsive to me. If you didn't like the combat in TW2, then I'm not surprised you don't like in TW3. It's clearly not your thing. For me, it is. I think it comes down to taste, and it's not a matter of 'poor' or 'bad'. You just don't like it, and that's okay.

I have played Demon Souls, Dark Souls 1/2 on my PS3. I personally am not having difficulty in controlling Geralt at all. I find the combat to be fluid. I think then it possibly boils down to personal preference in gameplay. I'm playing Witcher 3 on PC by the way.
