So about Kalkstein... That's it, really?

Did CDPR just 'delete' one more great character in a blink of an eye? First they completely ignored Shani for TW2 and now they let us know via a short conversation that Kalkstein was burnt to death recently (Broken Flower quest, conversation with Elihal). That's disappointing, who are the promised returning characters then (for the Oxenfurt expansion)...? :unsure:

He might be there as the expansion will very likely not take place during or after the events of TW3. Maybe during the event between TW2 and TW3.

The expansion set in Oxenfurt will have something to do with the Man of Glass, the guy you meet in White Orchard inn. The returning character will most likely be Shani. @DuranA Source?

While I regret his loss, too, I think his death was there to show the victims of the Mage Persecution aren't just people we don't know.

Kakelstein's death, while off-camera, goes to show that, yes, people we like are dying.
