I chose Skellige in the poll, becuase it was the deck I had most fun with during the KTS event, but I will certainly try to play every faction and give each of them similar amount of time and love, at least during the beta. I suppose that participation in the beta testing is not only a pleasure, but also some sort of duty to try to check every little detail of the game before release, so I would focus on putting into practice as many strategies and card combinations as I can, including the most bizarre, complicated or simply stupid ideas my mind would come up with for every deck. Besides, I believe in the devs that they will make every faction in the game enjoyable and worth playing.

Not sure I will have a main, I like to play alot of different decks.
Do not understand why so few people choose NR, i thought the deck was fun in KtS.

I feel like alot of people will want to play as Nilfgaard because in my opinion Toussaint cards gonne be there also, which i think can simply look amazing with all the colors etc.

I'm gonna play with all decks also but 1 deck gonna be my main which ill use for more competetive things such as gwent league or some small tournaments or just pure coin grind etc.

I was a NR fanatic in W3, but I can't deny the strenght of the monster deck in KTS events. We will see, might play both

I doubt Toussaint will be in Nilfgaard. They will get their own deck. They want this game to last. Which means they need too release expansions. Toussaint is the perfect candidate. We will first get Nilfgaard expansion and then Toussaint.

I am gonne start with NR because i always use it during the Witcher 3, but ill will most likly give every one of the decks a try till i find one. Wich play style fits me the best, and depending on Meta changes it might make me abandon one deck for the other if it isn't fun to play anymore.

I'm not sure if Toussaint is rich enaugh in tearms of characters etc to make it its own deck. We got Henrietta but it would need at least 2 more leaders. For me Henrietta fits Nilfgaard leader spot perfectly next to Emhyr.

Toussaint has plenty of characters imo. Here is another leader for Toussaint. The Unseen elder. The Nilfgaard leaders will be Emhyr, Morvran Voorhis and Jan Calveit.

Hmm the vampire elder you mean? That would be weird if Toussaint would include vampires into the deck since for example Regis is already in game. But he is a neutral character card (silver now) so who knows. I would like to see toussaint deck as a seperate faction.

Regis is different because he was first introduced in the books and not blood and wine expansion. Blood and wine was all about vampires so it makes sense to include them. Beauclair was basically the terittory of the unseen elder so he is a perfect candidate for one of the leader cards. We would also get cards like Dettlaff and orianna.

So Toussaint could be basicly like a mix of NR and Monster deck which would be very interesting. Tbh i dont really see alot of potential in makeing new decks for CDP red. I know we got some other regions like Ofir and Zerikania etc but i just dont see how they could make a deck out of it. Toussaint is the only one which could get a deck on its own.

But while i dont really see alot of oporunities for new decks in Gwent i can see huge amount of oportunities for new cards and mechanics.

I'll probably start out Northern Realms, and then once they release Nilfgaard go with that. Although now that there is a cap on spy cards, it kind of makes the latter less appealing.

It's really hard to say. If a new Cardgame releases the first time there are at least 1-2 weeks were everyone is trying everything and there is a state of "No Meta", so even if you try all kind of possibilities and decks, you won't know which deck is pretty strong and which one is pretty bad, because you might have just won due to the fact that your enemy had a deck that is weak against yours.

After the KTS I'm really interested in trying more Skellige and Monster decks, since the mechanics with the graveyard / frost were really interesting for me.

Is the opponents random faction as in the KTS? Or will there be a way to choose which factions to fight (I can see problems with this). As we would probably need to build a deck for universel use against all factions. As you wont be able to build a strong deck against a certant faction. Will this lead to people forfeiting the game seeing a faction they are weak against or will we play with a mediocre deck that can sort of handle most factions. Either way I'm sure I will discover a favorite deck, my nr.1 was and still is NR, my wife is sad cause her favorite in W3 was Nilfgaard.

Pretty much random. I don't believe you can choose which faction to fight against. Unless there is a mode where you can fight the AI. In that case i can see you being able to choose the AI's faction.

Tell your wife not to worry. Nilfgaard is the first expansion.

Definitely random, unless you're playing against a friend and you guys already decided on your decks beforehand. Other game modes, like stories, tutorial, AI etc... obviously doesn't count. Forfeit won't be an issue if you're playing ranked. Building a deck that accounts for most, if not all, factions is the essence of card games.
:)

Playing against AI does exist and your opponent's title will be "Intelligent Golem", provided that doesn't get changed.

With all the new cards released on gwentdb, I can definitely say my main deck will be scoia'tael. Some cards seems to have very interesting game mechanics, especially the ones which remain face down until certain event occur.

I changed my mind and basicly made 2 decks for each faction xD All the decks are super interesting already, i love NR deck at this point. My scoia'tael deck idea was done long time before gwentdb update so not much changed here in terms of main deck theme.

I'm not sure, maybe ill make a deck for each leader card. Since its alot of fun and each of those can work very well in my opinion.

For me it's a complete game changer. I wanted to make a dryads theme with the scoia'tael deck and the addition of the new cards made it possible.
