So including playthroughs we are looking at 300 plus hours?

So including playthroughs we are looking at 300 plus hours?

So every quest in the Witcher 2 had at minimum 3 endings, and sometimes more. Expecting similar results from the witcher 3 with both main, and side quests. We are possibly looking at a minimum of 3 playthroughs of a hundred hour game to see the most of everything we can do. Pretty impressive.

Quests are fun but I'm hoping there are things to do that aren't specifically quests. Since the world is open it would be nice to actually see some real exploration and adventuring, hidden objects or dynamic events, secrets to be discovered, etc. Having all content tied to scripted questing would be a shame.

I remember hearing that the main quest would be around 50 hours, so with the secundary quests it should be around 100 hours. + the dicking around/ minigames/ trying to climp/ jump a montains/ look for mermaids/ stare ate Geralt's bouncy hair it shoud add some hours. I think it will be around 120 hours the whole game? (The first playtrought ofcorse). With multiple playtroughts you should probably hit 300+ hours easily =P

You're exaggerating about TW2. What were the 3 endings for the nekker hunting quests? The endrega hunting? Etc. I agree with the gist of what you're saying though. I'm definitely hoping for some forks in the road (and maybe loops too), even if they're small.

Now that you mention it, I admit I sometimes doubt the replay-value of TW3, mostly because the devs said that there is going to be a big twist in the end. I like good twists, but I just am not sure if I will feel like replaying the game after them. It's like, revealing that everything is just a dream can be a good twist to some stories, but surely I won't feel like going through that dream again.
Man, I hope TW3 will not end in a similar fashion. I really want to explore the multiple branches of the game.

Every game has a virtually infinite length. The only answer can be that the game will (as devs said) last about 50 hours for main quest, another 50 hours for all sidequests, plus exploring/fiddling around etc. So we're above 100 hours, which is great.

100 hours sounds very good, and for those who want to explore every bit of the game on horseback, it will be a lot more than that. Plus the points of interest, I'm really curious what they will be.

I second that.

100+ hours is a speed run of all the quests. Peter Gelencser said so in an interview.

Will I be clocking 300 hours of Witcher 3? Little me? Easy. On first playthrough alone. Aside from completing all quests and exploring the world without fast travel, I'm going to enjoy the vistas while watching hundreds of sunrises, sunsets and everything in between.

But maybe I'll return to this thread once I've played the game and can present a result. ^_^

I know what you mean, and we probably won't know better until we play. Since there'll be no version of TW2 Chp 2 replaying feels like it'll be a choice rather than a requirement again, but as someone who racked up a dozen TW2 plays before losing count I doubt CDPR have lost their skill to nuance choices, conversations & consequences into reasons to return. Everytime I played TW2 I saw something new, even if occasionally short on time the variants are long on meaning, usually delving deeper into a characters motivations. I seriously doubt that aspect of the REDs storytelling has changed.

Yeah I have no problem believing a 100 hour claim from these guys, and I think its pretty safe to say i'll triple that at least ;)
