LMAO. Gothic!?. VtM:Bloodlines the rpg that the devs had to leave for modders and fans to fix? Elder Scrolls. Come on. You must be trolling.

Elder Scrolls, the recent Fallout games, the recent Deus Ex games, and even Mount and Blade were released on consoles. Divinity and its sequel as well. Same with Pillars of Eternity and its sequel

I don't think those games being released on consoles really affected the PC versions

Yeah and Skyrim on PC is still being played and new mods still coming 11 years later.

I got news for everyone here:

Arguments over pc vs console, or which games are actually good (which is based purely on opinion), are rabbit holes you'll never dig yourselves out of.

Everyone needs an ice cream break.

But the reason WHY it was removed from the store is related to the conversation no?

Yes, technical issues, and even that’s a stretch. I’m not sure what your discussions about which platform has the best RPGs and biggest player base, has anything to do with that.

That’s just willy-waving.

It sucks. Cyberpunk didn't deserve this.. Well if the staff sees this, you won't lose me or your die hard PC fans as long as you make sure to keep pushing pc content and start pushing some balance patches as well... add LMG's to buy, craft, and find, ffs.

Need not to worry, still will continue to play... It really just sucks to my friends out there who paid $900 for a PS5 just for this game and won't be able to play it most likely until the Jan patch.

The point of the pc/console debate is that cyberpunk is clearly designed as a next gen game and dragging obsolete 'oldgen' consoles like an anchor behind it is ultimately (and unfortunately) detrimental to everyone's experience.

Then they should have delayed it and waited for the Next Gen consoles instead of doing an update later. Because it plays like shit there too.

Facts are the facts. Fact's don't care about feelings.
No what I'm saying is there is a very crystal clear reason why technical issues exist.
Don't have to go to far into the technical aspects to see why they exist.
And the facts are well facts.
I won't state them though.

I'll say it again. There are many console exclusives that are great. I never got to play Last of Us on PS3 because I'm on computer. And as sad as it is, the facts are I' going to have to buy a PS3 to ever experience one of the best games ever. I fully respect whatever people chose to play on. I don't care. There are pros of both.

If other multiplatform games can run well on 'old gen' consoles like Red Dead 2 then there is no excuse for Cyberpunk to perform like it is now

CDPR are the ones who decided to release the game on the PS4 and Xbox One. They're the ones who lied to the public and said it runs surprisingly well on those consoles. They also lied or misled people by not showing the game on those consoles and acted like the videos and screen shots were for those consoles when they were from the PC version

I just wanted to add a point.
not everyone lives in the usa, canada, europe, japan and etc.
here in my country a minimally decent PC that runs CP2077 is almost 2 to 3 times the price of a console, if you are looking for something on the level of a PS5 / Series X this difference is even bigger.
so, no, consoles will continue to be more accessible and profitable than PCs for a long time, at least from the point of view of someone who is in a reality quite different from the vast majority who comment on this forum.
for example:
an RTX 3070 here costs around 889 dolars here.
an ps4 slim is 237 dolars.

Seems to me more like one company jumping on the back of another to score PR points. Sony is a company that not only allowed but actively promoted the game 'Life of black tiger' amongst many others. Games that make cyberpunk look polished.

Man...you guys are getting ripped apart and now stores are pulling the game. Your game is being treated like you treat your employees. Good luck fixing all of that. You have work to do.

Again, those are console exclusives funded by Sony & Microsoft to work on consoles then are later released on PC a year later once they figure out how to optimise it. Cyberpunk was the other way around it was PC first and then optimised on console they had even addressed this that they waited too late to fix it up for consoles.

Even though that may be true, that's not how it was advertised. Last gen players still make up most of the market and are understandably disappointed. CDPR didn't even announce a next gen upgrade until earlier this year... Well into the development cycle. Everyone thought the game would also be optimized on last gen. Currently, it's in an unacceptable state.

I have a question for all of you.

Would all of this backlash would have occurred if this wasn't released on last generation? I don't own a console, so I can't say for myself because I haven't experienced it myself.

I'm not saying it should or shouldn't be on last generation. I don't care if you have last generation or current generation, PC, or still playing on NES.
