So, we got Horse Races. What other activities do you think can we expect?

+
1.Collecting crystals(witcher 2) through a game world which holds a dreams of people and places cought by unknown entity.
2. Every crystal will teleport Geralt to specific location including short adventure(when you tired of main quest or at the end of the game)
3. After all crystals are collected and played;
(fighting, wet dreams of sucubus, saving some preetty ladies from monsters,
bear hunting-no Kinley, throwing axes or knives tournament, diving in perilous waters etc... )

and you pass all the tests successfully
you get to fight with dream catcher(Something big and hard to beat -a final challenge)

They said edibles will play a role unlike in TW2. So Im guessing fishing would be cool. Chilling in the boat with the rod out. lol

Boat / horse racing and fist fighting were all confirmed at E3. We also have the card game and the axe throwing (if I remember correctly). Now all I need is fishing and dice poker.

By the way, I bet I was the only one who kinda liked the armwrestling in TW2.

I liked armswrestling too, I remember how one time I was re-wrestling with one guy over and over again untill I won. I kept thinking "Geralt can't loose to some bandit, he's a mutant ffs - a superhuman!"

Mighty Numa maybe?

I was never able to defeat him on the first round. Always had to intimidate or beat the drugs out of him before defeating him.

with the rod out. lol

We've had that for two games now. ;)

So with my awful memory I have to look stupid and ask.

Has dice poker still not been confirmed? It would be an outright atrocity to not have that.

Edit: @idub7: I was just making a dick/sex joke is all.

Seeing how iconic dice poker is in the games I really really doubt they left it out. Can't recall where/if they confirmed it but I think it's pretty safe to assume it'll be in.

I would like to see activities like bounty hunting. For example In cities like Novigrad or Oxenfurt you can find wanted posts of men who have raped, killed, kidnapped etc.. and you can take them alive or dead ala Red dead redemption style. Activities like bounty hunting , monster and animal hunting can make the game very enjoyable after completing it. If there is a free roam option after completion ofc.

Lore wise hunting down people for coin isn't something Geralt would do though. He repeatedly turned down such offers from powerful people even in cases where the potential victim would have deserved punishment. Geralt has never been a white knight or a mercenary. I'm not saying the game shouldn't give you a chance to kill people for money at times (it's a game based on choice after all) but it would be a bit out of place it you could take such jobs regularly as you do with the beast hunting ones.

yea Geralt never kills for money, though killing people for his own reasons is fine, especially when they might as well be monsters. but he is also not a vigilante his job is to kill monsters not save every person he comes across in need of some help. he is merely one man In the world, and killing every human not worth living or saving every one that does deserve to, is not necessarily going to make the world a better place. If anything Geralt, in remaining as neutral as he can, is more just than anyone he encounters with a stance, because he is not adding to the shit of the world with ideologies that more often than not result in the loss of life. though there are grey areas even for him where neutrality itself is wrong, where groups have the potential to achieve some change for the better or where shedding blood is the only option. but still he never kills sentient races for money, which sometimes include those who are considered monsters.

Very well said. He's quite strict with this code of his, generally only breaking it if his loved ones are in danger.

I just hope that they are all well done. These types of minigames are usually pretty bare bones and kinda rote after you've done it a couple of times. I really didnt enjoy the fist fighting or arm wrestling in W2. Mechanically, they were just too simple.

I would still like the option to do it. Geralt has been through a lot, and that kind of little thing should really be left up to the player. In Witcher 2 I almost unanimously sided with the "monster" in every situation as the people involved where often immoral criminal bastards of the highest standard.

Say what now? Edibles, as in food, are to play a role unlike that it did in Witcher 2? Because there were none to speak of in Witcher 2. Geralt ate and drank once in a cutscene, and all food in the game was labeled as crap...I mean junk...in inventory. One of the few choices by the devs I truly lamented.

So edibles are confirmed then? Where the hell was I when that was confirmed? Source? Please.

I beat the brotherpucker without the drugs, but hardly on the first try. And yes, I'm a very patient player indeed.

EDIT: Drinking games ought to return and let's add a pie eating contest!
