I've already got it for PS3. I'll buy the new content as dlc, but I don't think I'll pick up a second copy for PC right away.

Is it still GFWL-only? I thought Namco had considered releasing it on Steam:

Nah you shouldn't buy PC if you already have it on PS3. Nothing like sitting on the couch and playing PS3 on the big screen.

With the rumble pack in the controller to rub it in every time I get my face mashed. ;)

This is such a tired argument. It's easy as pie to plug the PC to your giant TV, and to sit in the sofa with a controller in your hand, anyway.

It is, but I actually don't like doing it. This is just my preference, but I like interacting with whatever hardware I'm using in the way I normally interact with it. When I game on PC, I sit in front of it and use a mouse and keyboard. When I game on PS2 or 3, I sit on the floor in front of the television (no couch) with the controller. The physical experience of the game changes with the platform, and I like that.

I prefer mouse and keyboard, but I guess some people are too lazy.

Of course, of course - each to their own. I'm just saying that playing on the PC does not rule out a big TV and a comfy sofa.

Generally, I too prefer M&K, but there are certain exceptions, and depending on the specific game in question, this preference may change. While a third-person game usually works great with M&K, Dark Souls is perfectly designed for a controller, and switching to M&K in this case would feel really awkward. Other games I find impossible to play with a controller, such as FPS-games that require accurate aiming - I simply can't handle a control stick in this case, and require a mouse instead.

Yeah, because the point of gaming is that it shouldn't be "lazy" and feel more like work, right? Ugh.

I don't want to sound like I think I'm a mod or my opinion matters or anything, but can we please not have a PC vs console debate? Pretty please?

There's a 30 fps lock because the game was designed around 30 fps initially, and alot of the animations would look out of place and awkward on a higher fps. It's fixable, bur it'd take alot of reworking and money that they don't have.

So some PC gamers are not going to buy Dark Souls for the PC because it's "just a port" without many enhancements or extra's or whatsoever? The elitist PC master race should stop whining and just be happy with the fact that they actually get to play this awesome game in the first place. Seriously, it's an awesome game as it is, why would you need to get something extra? Are you really that spoiled?

Did the Xbox360 gamers get something extra when CDPR released The Witcher 2 for the Xbox360? No they did not. The console version of TW2 is pretty much exactly the same as the PC version, with the exception that the PC version looks prettier, and that's exactly as it should be.

I am a PC only gamer and will still get Dark Souls on the release day, but I can respect the decision of those who won't buy the game because of the lack of optimisation, GFWL, etc.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the 24th of August. :)
