[SOLVED] computer won't reload game

I installed Witcher and it ran properly. I tried to install the 1.4 patch and it wouldn't install. One of the notes recommended that the patch might install better when the game was first installed. I deleted the game and when I tried to reinstall it, it just won't reinstall. What should I do. The computer recognizes the disk in the drive, but that is all.I deleted the game and then tried to reload it. The computer recognizes the disk in the drive but it won't install. How do I reinstall it?Thanks[mod]use the MODIFY button[/mod]

I did uninstall it. It doesn't say anything. I tried to run the install.exe and absolutely nothing happens. The Witcher program shows up on the disk drive but I can't get it to load or run.

Thanks, I ran the setup and the game loaded, but only after giving me the choice to uninstall it. I guess that I only deleted it instead of uninstalling it. Thanks

I just want to say thanks a lot for nothing! I am not a computer genious and really don't understand that much of what you are talking about. (I just simply insert disk, press play and go for it. I really can't swith dowload programs, and the other things you are recommending. What happened to good old fashioned product testing that leads to a sound product. I also tried to download the 1.4 patch and that was real funnny. Don't you know what file you put the Witcher into, why can't you just place the update files into the same folder and automatically run the install program? Does it really have to be that complicated.) I do understant that I have a nVIDIA graphics card and that I can never run Witcher which is a real shame because it sounds like it is a good game. I actually did get to the place where the Beast enters even with crashing every few saves. My REAL problem is with the system requirements. If you are not compatible with nVIDIA WHY don't you say it up front on the box cover so people with that card simply don't buy it. I know, you won't be able to get their money. Is money really that important that you are willing to steal it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a Nvidia Card and the game runs fine. Thus the game is Nvidia-compatible.It sounds like your card simply is not sufficently strong enought to play The Witcher.Care to tell what your system is and what exact problems you're having? Why can't you do the other recommended things? What exactly was the problem with downloading the 1.4 Patch? How did you manage to play the game to the Beast if the game is not "nvidia-compatible"?
