[SOLVED] faster loading times

two questions:1. is it ok to launch the game with a desktop shortcut directly to witcher.exe , i.e. do not go via the loader ?2. can I remane, delete or otherwise skip all intro.bik files or will that crash the game

Yes - I have yet to encounter a single game that cannot be handled in this way.

Rename them (e.g. from *.bik to *.bik-delme) rather than delete and test. If you encounter problems, rename them back to *.bik

thanks, but meanwhile I found one at the IGN witcher valut - there's an insane difficulty mod, listed under mods , & I took from that just the movie.lua files rather than install the whole mod ( which may not be EE compatible anyway) - that did the trick.

Just press the (Esc) key on your keyboard when the intro and then when the movie starts.
