[SOLVED] Vizima Confidential - Stuck

Hi,

I'm stuck in the quest Vizima Confidential />.

I have all suspects clear of suspicion and told them that Raimund is Azar and that the real Raimund is dead (I've found his corpse on the cemetry).

I got the message that I should meet with Raimund and he told me that he wants 500 orens. I quit the dialog in order to finish some other quests first before paying him.

When I was ready to pay him I went back to him but now I have only the dialog option to say 'good bye' oO!

The quest log says, that I should go to Raimund and talk to him but as I said, I can not />.

I also need the last gem from him and I have all other main quests completed.

I have really no idea what to do anymore. Any help is really appreciated. Is it possible that this a bug?

Yes, it's possible to get stuck at this point. The usual cause is that the game gets bugged if you go off and do something else when the little boy comes to tell you Raymond wants to see you.

Thanks a lot, I'll try the bugfix tonight.

I'm a little bit surprised that there is no offical patch for this bug as even the community fix is more than a year old!

This is a serious game breaker. I've played for hours and solved many other quests after I was told to go to Raimund and finally faced the bug. I definitely won't play everything again.

I sympathize with your point, but I feel I have to note that there's a point at which releasing official patches for a game becomes uneconomic. The Witcher is a nearly 6-year-old game, and the last patch was released more than 4 years ago. It sells at clearance prices now.

Taking the time and effort to release an official patch, which unfortunately costs many times what anybody not in the business thinks it should, has to be justified by the existence of profitable maintenance subscriptions (which there aren't) or the prospect of additional profitable sales. In short, it would be a Good Thing that will not happen for equally good cruel reasons.
