Sorry if I missed something here. But I recently purchased the new EE version and by holding down the left SHIFT key Geralt walks just fine. I don't think you can toggle it, but yes you can walk.Cheers

The problem is the 'holding down' part. We want a toggle.

In the next Witcher im sure they gonna disable walk in all views. The included walk in the game by accident. Its not even in the controls list. Bunch of n00bs...why putting the animation then?

If that true? There's really a walk through the shift key? Lol. That said I agree that even if it's not a major point, walk/run toggle is better in any game and have an automatic walk on when fight starts is an excellent idea to tune the system.I'm (re)playing currently Mask of the Betrayer and there's no walk and that's totally fine walk would be totally useless. In fact for the iso point of view I feel walk is worthless.

In OTS mode there isn't no. Shame it wasn't implemented in the EE.

This would make a nice patch item. After all they have animations for being drunk, how hard could it be to just have one for walk?Mike

Running or walking, I wish there was a first person view option. It's a pain when trees and buildings get in the way while you're kiccking some bad guys butt.

Yesterday i managed to make Geralt walk! 8) Here's what i did: *warning- very dangerous and not healthy at all for our witcher*I was fooling around (make him drink a whole barrel of wine and beer, then woke up with headache :D ) i gave him a blizzard potion. Then, a swallow. So far so good. Still running. Then i gave him two tawny owl. Toxicity to 96% ! Strangely, he didn't die, the whole screen was red but he was fine ( wait until the effect of swallow passes and let's see how "fine" he 'll be..). And i saw with great surprise that HE WAS WALKING! That's it! You just have to raise his toxicity to 96% and Geralt will walk!Don't thing i 'm a sadistic bastard, make my character bleed to entertain me, i was just very sleepy and wanted to laugh! (If you make him drunk and give him a blizzard, you 'll know what i mean )... ;D

Actually, i can make a toggle, but the only way to do it -that i know of- is through an inventory item, and that's way worse!! if somebody else has ideas please share..

Your mod works great! It's exactly what I wanted! Walk mode even works when your sword is drawn, so it's a great boon to immersion, especially when 'exploring' in dungeons and so forth.THANKS J_SLASH!!!

For some reason Gerald starts to run real fast sometimes. Does anyone know what effect this? I thought it was some of the food, but I don't know for sure.

All I've noticed of that he runs faster according to if he has any item out and if he does then which. The fastest my geralt runs is with witcher sword fast / group style :peace:

Devin23 has a point. Sometimes after a long stint playing the game, Geralt's running speed can increase dramatically. For example:I played a long (several hour) stint in Act III and got to the Kikimore Queen's Lair. He ran really fast through the tunnel, but died when collapsing the tunnel. When re-loading a save to try again, Geralt's run-speed had dropped back to a trot. No shange in weapon / style activated or nothing. Probably a small bug, but I've noticed it all the way from 1.0. I could be wrong though...

I don't mind a little increase in Geralt's speed. ;) Some quest require running over long distances.

Oh man Slash - you are a genius! Surely somebody, somewhere (CDP- are you listening?!) can add a toggle! If this mod means Geralt will now walk all the time, then it's still far from ideal as it is just unimmersive to be running when you should be walking as walking when you should be running! And what happens with running away when the odds are against you? Will try the mod, but must admit I do have questions.....! :)EDIT: Run the mod now and see how you did it - so all my questions have been answered! Great you at least let us gamers choose a key and not hard-wire one into your mod! I use the top left hand key which is ` and it works beautifully! So once again THANKS!

Agree - with sword out he's almost in a creep mode, which is perfect! I am so lucky to be starting a new game as I waited for the EE before really playing the game! This means I will be able to play the whole game with a walk option!WHY OH WHY COULDN'T CD PROJECKT HAVE DONE THIS MONTHS AGO?!Do not double post.

Just so you know, flash_in_the flesh has updated the mod by J_Slash as part of Insane Difficulty mod, and it works a treat :). Although I think the whole mod package is wonderful and makes the Witcher as difficult as it should have been from the beginning, you can choose to install only the Walk mod.
