I made a big deal about this before EE and got lots of support - surely one of the easiest things to add and makes a total mockery of all the mentions in the EE dev videos about 'we did this for immersion' and 'this enhancement adds to the immersion', etc. The fact you cannot walk just breaks ALL immersion in this game, all th other things they did to aid immersion will not add a jot because of not being able to walk, so I am mightily disappointed and peeved and will have to keep my review score in the 80's because of it! Grrrr!!!!!!

Yeah, missing WALK option sucks, but the guys did awsome job anyway.Yeah there are problems (I can't play the game, the screen is all blurred), but with this FREE ADDITION to the game, I'm confident that all problems will be fixed. CDProjekt already proved they're dedicated to the game.If they didn't add WALK options maybe there's a reason. Yet I hope it can be added after all the dust settled.

Iron sword sheathing animation and open door animation suck too. I thought they would improve them. Transition between animations isn't perfect too. Also, they didn't fix the auto-sheathing problem.-_-

Running isn't all that bad, walking takes too slow, I just wish I had a horse so I can trample and pwn everything in my path!

We want a toggle always walk / always run.

We want a walk option for OTS to - like every other RPG! It's such a simple thing I wonder why A) it hasn't been done and B) why CD Projeckt hasn't said anyhting either way about it!

I do the shift+click in F2 and switch back to F3 when fighting. Or I'll let Geralt trink a couple of beers then he'll walk. LOL

Let's face it - every other RPG on any machine at any time in gaming history has allowed walking. I cannot believe CD Projekt kept on saying with EE '...to make the game more immersive' and yet not adding a simple line of code to allow Geralt to walk in the OST mode!It is just so unimmersive to be running around in an inn or running around rooms when you are supposed to be searching! It is ridiculous to have a world where NPC's can walk, meaning you have tio do that silly 'jog' to keep up with them! Why CD Projekt spent so much time and money and yet didn't do anything about this is beyond me. it brings a 9.0 game down to an 8.5 game because it is always reminding you you are just playing a game!

You nailed it. This enhanced edition is all about "immersion", but yet they still force you to run around like Super Mario in OTS view. I just find it amazing that they didn't put this in the original version, yet alone the "enhanced" version. Maybe "running" is a big thing in Poland and walking is frowned upon.P.S. Ironically, the picture of OTS view when you start a new game shows Geralt walking, and the picture of ISO view shows him running!

I remember how in kotor you couldn't walk until a patch and even then the walk animation played insanely fast. And if I recall walking in mass effect was insanely slow.I don't see how WALKING makes a game more immersive, it's more about the story and the dialogue captivating the player and not about how the character is moving. Of course, if you really want to walk hold down the side movement keys in OTS mode.

Whether people like to walk or run, players should have the option to choose.Another thing I don't like is that we are able to take (steal, loot) everything we'd like.I remember in KOTOR II and Mass Effect, where you can take belongings but then would trigger an aggressive reactionat least from those who are hostile. The thugs and bandits should get offended when we walk into their houses and just take their belongings. It's still a good game but with all those details included it would have been a great game! IMHO

It's so wrong that I won't take time to list games, I'm just playing one without walk and it's not The Witcher.

Lol this walk thing isn't that important that it destroy the gameplay. I agree it would be more cool to have it and it could add a bit of immersion in some cases but common that's a minor point.

you can walk in the witcher, even in OTS mode (which is how i prefer to play) just keep the cursor closer to Geralt instead of farther away when you left-click and hold. You'll see that the cursor changes length as you pull it closer to Geralt. Short cursor = walk, longer cursor = run

False. In OTS mode (F3) left-cicks are only to attack or interact, not to movement.

Easy - just get smashed by drinking a few beers. Then you can choose to run by drawing a weapon

why haven't the DEVs commented on the "Walk Toggle" officially? Me? I just bought EE, for one reason: to support such an awesome company that would reboot their game for free (previous owners) and EE for new players like myself. I bought EE thinking it was to be the perfect Witcher experience... I was wrong.
