Some abandoned areas should have more then a shop !
One of the big missed opportunities where how the abandoned areas where handled.
The idea is great but just getting a shop got boring after a while. It would have been fun if one could take place in trying to recreate a "normal" life in some of them.
There are so many oportunities, the witcher could get another job to clear the fields for a farmign comnnmunity or make sure the trade route to the hamlet is open.
Or there could be a dark twist where the witcher find out the village was cursed because of unspeakable acts and that's why the monsters appeared, hence the village folks are the evil ones.
Essentially what i would want is for Geralt to make a small contribution on a very human level to create a normal life for some people who has just been caught up in the war through no fault of their own.
