Some "Exotism" ?

I don't know if the thread has been discussed here, but what about those guys?

(original pages are here, if you need more explanation, as i couldn't find anything on google:

Personaly i don't really care about them to the point of crying to have them in the game, but it could be a funny customizing tool, like a solo with bunny ears, a "shark" corps who look like a shark, or something like this (just for the fun of it, it should be removable by surgery), if it's possible to mix them there would be a lot of possibility.

Or pushing the idea further and having, like in the PnP, characters totaly transformed like this (witch is the original point of exotics after all):

That would make the crowd more diversified, and expand the "multi-cultural" side of Night City.
People could make fun of you if you push the modification too far, of things like this.

Anyways, there are already some people trying to look like animals, so why not in 2077?

(Well, i figure they'd be less ugly than him lol...)

Edit: oops, after reflexion, i maybe should have posted this in the Customisation topic.
Sorry

I don't think that'll fly for standard customization.

A hidden splicing shop somewhere in Night City where you could get the enhancements might make for a nice easter egg though. Like the costume shop in SR2. It'd be nice to be rewarded somehow for exploring the city.

But again however, this doesn't seem like something that too many resources should be spent on. There are plenty of other options for making exploration interesting.

Heh.

I suspect this is too close to "Furries" and Cosplay kids for Wisdom's sake. ;-)

While not my cuppa tea, I don't much care if Exotics are in the game, as long as it's not a huge impact on the production schedule / available dev resources.

If they are included, except for specific Posergang territories, they should be... well, exotic. Uncommon. Out of the ordinary. If I'm walking around downtown or Corporate Plaza, I shouldn't expect to see 1-in-10 random pedestrians spawn with Exotic features. (I could maybe see 1-in-20 or 1-in-30 random Exotic spawns at a trendy nightclub, though.)

Well..they are in the PnP. Right in the Chromebooks, too. If you're gonna allow ACPA...

Furries form a discernable and quite enthusiastic part of geek culture. Why not cater to them a bit!

DLC or mods are fine.

I am 'Pro-Exotic'.

Personally, I don't expect to ever create an exotic character, but I believe they have a place. Realistically, they are a logical extension and evolution of body modification, just as fashionable cybernetic augmentation is. In a way, I see it as almost an integral part of the 'social degredation' aspect of Cyberpunk.

I've previously supported their inclusion if CDPR feels like it. I also proposed that they could be reworked into surgery that automatically adds a performance value, like enhanced hearing if you get cat/dog/bunny ears without the need of an internal cyberear, non-cybernetic animal throats that can give us a unique battlecry or the ability to sing like a bird (rockerboys and other entertainers...), and muscular and bone structures that imitate those of animals that excel at running, jumping, climbing... (maybe this example does need of cybernetics) and yeah, also the purely cosmetic things. I also said that I'd rather have the player choose the parts freely, instead of forcing animal themed suites. I don't think we'll see monkey paws like in Aeon Flux, but I'd really like them. Scaphandra was awesomely icky!
I also think that Artemis Alpeia from Appleseed is a model on how to get it right. She doesn't scream furry to me.

How many people have said the same about tattoos, piercings, scarification and other forms of body modification?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If they aren't hurting anyone else and they feel good by doing it, then as far as I am concerned they can do what the hell they want.

Well, I think he'd like some space, but hardly space tycoon. Although....in an open world game, it would be pretty DAMN cool to get a Team together and just utterly RUIN some Corporate player's whole business/division/whatever. And then send him a text laughing about how much money you just cost him. Forcing him to hire another Team to hunt you down in revenge while you attempted to kill off the Corp player thus resetting all his outstanding jobs to zero, unless he'd spent the extra Resources on support from another Corporate or Fixer player...

Damn that could be fun.

Nonsense. They must all conform to my sense of beauty. Immediately. And then take their clothes off. Forever. While chanting Robin Williams' best skits.

I for one would like to see exotics in game in a limited capacity, mostly just the elf, cat and snake kind, I don't want a thousand parts for every animal cluttering up the shops and inventories of the game. Sharp teeth, claws, and slit eyes are probably already in the game, they just need to add fur and scales in skin implant options, different ears and tails and your good. That's not a lot of implants, most people might not even put two and two tegether and realize they can be combined into such a thing, but hopeful we see a few exotic npcs in certain clubs.
