And what do you think about name "Eldain"? There is a similar word in Tolkien's elvish language Quenya, which means "for elves", but maybe it has some other meaning.
At a guess, I'd say it could either be related to the English word elder, or is a variant of the English surname/place-name Elden/Eldon, which means 'Ella's hill'. Ella is a Germanic personal name, meaning 'other'. It is also possible -- if unlikely, etymologically -- that the El- might be a shortening of 'elf'.
I wasn't quite certain about this name, thus I didn't include it in my initial list.
