Some of my ideas what can improve Gwent

Hi guys,

I posted these ideas on reddit some weeks ago and to Gwent Fan Page too but Administrator told me that I should post it on this forum but I have to "spam" 10 posts to Tech Sup. before I can post to suggestion tab so I will leave it here and I hope moderator will move it to suggestion tab. (thx)

1.) PLAYER PROFILE:

- tab where you will be able to check XP, Daily Rewards, Most played fraction etc.
- there are also more tabs not just casual match (ranked etc.) or time played (win rate % etc.)
- this is similar to Overwatch Player Profile

2.) HISTORY IN END SCREEN:

- you will be able to check whole history in end screen tab

3.) How Replacing and Resurrecting cards should looks like

- something from this is already implemented (replacing cards) but still there is one more idea so I will post it all here

Yes I love this, anything that improves quality of life is much needed.

On thing tho, there is no need under faction stats to have time played take so much of screen. No one really cares that much about that info.
It would make more sense to have some more interesting and useful stats.

Also instead of clicking on avatar there should be button that clearly says PROFILE. So new players have easier time navigating.
It is small thing but worth considering.

Yes it will be good but imagine that we will have probably History tab were we will see things like replays, history etc. So it will be 6 tabs + profile tab 7. It will be too much tabs and clicking on just profile which is everywhere on main screen is much better and effectively than making his own tab.

Some explanation what it will be:
• Rematch - you will be able to play exact match (something like replay)
• History - you will be able to see history of your matches, W/L ration, +MMR etc.

I find manu in this game very awkward at best. Look, we whole screen dedicated to 4 buttons.
We need new menu that is seamless and can perform any task so we don't get this loading screen every time you click something.
Look this gigantic "footer". if you reduce that and decentralize everything so side scrolling is not a thing plus smaller loge you can create space
for a lot more efficient menu one that gives you freedom to even fit collection and deck builder.

Yes you're right. I wonder why we are not able to click on Gwent icon what will move as to main screen etc. I hope we will have better client someday, until then we have to wait

Right now we got little about chatting and history/stats, I would love to see more of it.
The rank's user is useless, the currents points would be much better to get.
Stats of your opponents as % victory and such too.

One thing I keep dreaming will be about joining the gwent cards game from the witcher 3.

So I did my own Gwent Client 2.0

So I will explain something what I added to this my idea.
• Challenger - Tab for Arena mode
• Watch - (as you can see on picture/video)

• Tournaments - Watch Gwent tournaments in Client!
• Live - Watch players how they are playing game
• Re-match - You will be able to play excat match and see what you could done better.
• History - Histroy of your matches, stats, +/- MMR

• News - News, Changelogs etc.
• Message icon - Short alerts like: Gwent was just updated for version 0.9.4 etc.
• Coin icon - will move you to main tab (Multiplayer)

• Darker version:

• With Vanilla background (or current one)

holy crap this looks way way better then what we have now. Nice work, it is much nicer on my eyes seeing all that free space.

I knew that lowering "footer" and fixing up top would make good change but i didn't realize that it is this incredible. Looking at it just feels so freaking nice.

Suggestion: It would look even better if you remove huge buttons in center and place them in drop down menu(vertical or horizontal).
Implement friends window on main screen and chat kind like in dota menu. since those two won't take huge amounts of space
we get to look at that pretty background. Then removing "welcome to official.." since it is redundant and chat and other elements can take its place.

Yeah i know it is coming but we saw some screenshot it only it "battle UI" not in menu, and current one doesn't really have room for it,
and they never said a thing about public chat rooms

Yes I hope they will remake whole Gwent Hud UI in future I don't know if chat is good idea. Burza46 said something in Gwentlemen stream early this July (3 days before Dev. Stream) and I must totally agree with him: "You don't know if your opponent hasn't bad day etc.."
Dota 2 is extremely toxic and unfriedly place. I will be really sad if I will be playing Gwent and opponent will write something like: Die etc...

Yes in Dota 2 there is room for chat but Gwent Hud UI is not designed for it. I can add friend icon (already did because I'm working on it and changing some things from reddit feedback) but it's probably everything what I can :/

Hi guys. I did update for client from your feedback so it will be much easier from CDPR to gather files which can improve whole Gwent Client in the future. This one is motivated from games like: Heroes of the Storm and DotA 2. These 2 games have probably best clean Client what we can see. Yesterday I forgot to mention why I did this. Current Gwent Client is not compatibile for mobile devices I mean touching etc. will be really hard. With simillar design like this it will be much easier. So I hope we will see something in the future If you want test it how it will looks like on your mobile just download picture and open it in full scale. I did it and it's really nice start
What is new:
• Friend icon - this will be probably most important thing because right now we are not able to see our friends in Gwent Client (just in GOG)
• Profile status indicator - Online, AFK, Busy, Offline
• Options now has his own space (not gathered with Message or Friend UI)
• Gwent logo (coin) was moved much sligther to the left so it will be much better for looking or touching

I approve of your idea - these are very correct ideas! I myself thought about it, but you wrote the first one
