Sooo, 20% bigger than Skyrim - around 48 sq. km?
GTA III: 8 sq.km
GTA VC: 10 sq.km
GTA SA: 36 sq.km
GTA IV: 8 sq.km
Oblivion: 41 sq.km
Fallout 3: 41 sq.km
Farcry 2: 50 sq.km
Skyrim: 40 sq.km
Red Dead Redemption: 72 sq. km
Far Cry 3: 500 sq. km (?)
Just Cause 2 had 1000 square kilometers. (including large chunks of water on four sides though)
I hope that sea travel isn't going to cover too much area. I think I'd rather travel by land 95% of the time and enjoy the tress and such. I don't think they will be able to achieve the Arkham City area density because you'd have to get off your horse every 20 seconds but I do wonder how they are going to find balance between you galloping and taking your time to explore each and every point of interest.
