Sound not working

Hello,I installed TWEE that I purchased yesterday. I am on windows 7 and downloaded the Tage to get it to run with "insuffient privledges"The problem is that now the sound will not play during the intro. I tried to alter the audio settings in game options and was not able to make any changes.Also I think that I read I need to install patch 1.5 and the Director's Cut patch. I downloaded the 1.5 patch and an error came up when I tried to run it: >SetupNew\setup.cpp (135)PAPPGUID:$Windows Vista Service Pack 0 (7600)I.E. 8.0.7600.16766I was wondering what I am doing wrong and any help would be rock, thank you very much.Any help would be very helpful and I look forward to playing thank you!

read the FAQ: http://www.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?topic=17503.0 update to patch 1.5 first, remove TAGES as explained, then retryIn there you will find how to make sure you have a full and working patch by running a MD5 verification . The 1.5 patch should be 371 MB in size

My version of TWEE is 1.45.1280

That would be TWEE with the 1.4 patch . All you need is a good 1.5 patch and Directors patch if you desire .Did you read the FAQ on file verification ?

My sound issue is fixed. Now I just have the issues installing the 1.5 and Director's Cut patch. I am still searching the forums for a solution that works!I get an NSIS error when trying to run the Director's Cut patch after downloading to install it, how do I get it to run?I get this from running the 1.5 patch I downloaded:>SetupNew\setup.cpp (135)PAPPGUID:$Windows Vista Service Pack 0 (7600)I.E. 8.0.7600.16766Thank you very much for any help or ideas!

You will need to run a MD5 on the patches to make sure you have a full and working patchhttp://www.nero.com/eng/tools-utilities.html#tab3 MD 5 verifier1.5 patch 30EF893614F62DD712B3855F6D0FA663Directors patch 7be31f471a7d929dbf1407bb8a1161d2After installing the verifier then paste the above numbers in the top line then using the browse button on the 2nd line browse to where you have the patches downloaded and once that is done it will go through a verifying process and if the top line turns green the patch is good but if the top line turns red the patch is bad and you will need to download the patch again .
