Sound stuttering even at low settings.

I recently got a new PC, so a relatively clean build in terms of software and drivers. Everything is upto date as of time of writing this.

Specs:
  • AMD Ryzen 5 7500F
  • 32 GB DDR5 RAM
  • MSI M470 PRO 1 TB NVMe SSD
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 - 8 GB
  • Windows 11 Home
  • Game version 2.31 which includes Phantom Liberty
  • Game ready driver: 591.44 WHQL
  • Cyberpunk Installed via Steam
Im not expecting all of the bells and whistles with this, but the game runs terrible even on the "low" preset, with constant frame drops and very stuttered audo, which increases the closer i get to population or face to face with an NPC.

The benchmark runs without these micro stutters (even at higher settings). NVIDIA app states i can run the game at higher settings, which i expect - but "low settings" is used to illustrate the issue.

Ive looked at reddit posts, general information and have tried the following:

  • Removed and reinstalled the Realtek sound driver for motherboard
  • Removed and reinstalled the NVIDIA driver for my GPU
  • Removed and reinstalled Cyberpunk
  • Reduced the sound quality via windows to 16 bit, 44100hz and disabling audio enhancements / spatial sound
  • Turning the master volume down (yes that was listed as an option). I get the same with speakers or headphones.
  • Getting annoyed at my inability to figure this out
  • Run at borderless windowed mode
  • Starting a new game/loading an older save
Im having no luck, and the sad things is the game ran (badly from a FPS perspective at low) on my old PC, but the sound was fine.

Hoping for some tips and thank you!
