Specific quotes and where to find them?

[BrainDancer1991]

What missions do you get the following quotes?

V: "What you said...about what you saw within me..."
Alt:"Death"
V: "High time I face it."

Alt: "You believe you have cheated death. It is death that has cheated you."

Also, anyone know where he tries to get V to smoke. It's on a balcony.

Spoiler

I don't recall that first conversation being with Alt; I'm pretty sure it's the conversation with Judy, if you call her during Nocturne OP55N1

There a number of occasions where Johnny asks for a smoke, but I'm guessing the one you're looking for is the conversation after "Life During Wartime"

1. Definitely said by Judy when you have the option to call someone on Misty's rooftop.

2. Alt says this line when you use Dakota's gear to contact her in We Gotta Live Together.

3. Johnny tries to get V to smoke on Judy's balcony after Disasterpiece.

Thanks Choom. I just wasn't sure anymore

I think they changed the smoking scene. They dont let you choose anymore.

Weird - as far as I remember there are two Johnny/smoking instances; on Judy's Balcony and outside the Chapel after finishing the VDBs arc; last time I played (patch 1.21) I was able to decide.

Maybe it's related to the order of the previous quests. Like if you have doing Hellman quest before or not. (And talk to johnny in Sunset Motel parking or not).
For me, Hellman always after Evelyn, and i can choose to smoke or not.
(in one playtrougth, i remember it, it was different)

I believe the smoking scene outside Judy's changed dependent on whether you've done a main quest segment before. In my Street kid Fem V playthrough, I did Judy's questline first and I was given the choice of whether to smoke or say no to Johnny.
In my Male V Nomad playthrough I did Panams quest first, then when I got to the scene at Judy's on the balcony, V was already smoking. Johnny's line was "I didn't know you smoked." And my response was I only smoke to calm my nerves.
