I think I'll throw my lot in with naming save files.

I suppose if we're talking about lttle things I could kindly request:

No freakin' purple sparkly things orbiting geralt as though he's suffering from neon tapeworm infection, thank you.

I have the same question/concern, which CDPR devs didn't answer so far.

Question: Does Red Engine 3 support OpenGL (and what version / profile if yes), and do they consider releasing Witcher 3 on PC systems besides Windows (Linux and Mac OSX). This shouldn't be hard to answer, and shouldn't really require them to reveal some bounding promises. Just simple explanation of the current situation.

Concern: Their usage of DirectX 11 will lock out users of Linux and Mac OSX from playing Witcher 3, if they won't release native versions, since Wine is unlikely to start supporting DX11 before Witcher 3 release.

Request: Please start developing games for all major PC platforms, without Windows favoritism.

Question:

I saw Geralt and pretty much everyone's hair still looks a little 'Polygonal'. Although i understand that it could be taxing to the hardwares, would it be possible for the TresFx technology for Geralt and all the important NPCs? Thanks :)

Well iirc they have been presented to make use of PhysX realistic fur and hair (on the Nvidia demo).

Dear CDPR, why do me scars itch when I take a hot bath?

Edit: No hurry answering, probably be taking cold showers until autumn.

That wasn't serious?!

Sheit.

I already slow mailed a dandruff shampoo to Bloth.
I am also paying for Fragsmater's crash stand up comedy course.
He so desperately needs one.

While I think this is a cool idea, I also think this is a bad idea (no offense).

The Devs should have the freedom to decide when they will release specific information to us, and they shouldn't be obligated to do so in an informal manner.

Let's not forget that this forum can be read by everyone on the internet, and words from the Devs of a game can be taken as promises or gospel. I hate the idea of a shit storm of disappointments when something allegedly promised is not delivered.

Also, I am sure that they have a million things to do in a work day, and being required to have an interaction with the fans would just be unnecessary on a frequent basis if they don't have anything new to tell us. I say let them do their work, and be free to get back to us of their own accord.

But since this is all an effort to ensure that the Devs have heard from the fans, how about the forum members decide on the important question, concern etc. for the week or month, and neatly organize that information in a thread.

(Really, a week is too short of a time, and I would prefer this activity to occur on a monthly or every-other-month basis instead).

I like that part of the idea, but I don't like the idea of requiring the Devs to get back to us on a frequent basis. Let them work, mull things over, etc and release information to us when they want to do so.

Totally agree, I see how something like this can become tedious for the devs in the long run. I don't know about you guys but so far they've made it clear they are listening. No need for a weekly "check-in" from them, I'd suggest something like this for other devs but not the REDs.

I think you missed a couple of things about this event, cmdr. First of all, this isn’t just about asking them questions. I think most of us are aware of the fact that the game is far from complete and that many features, mechanics and so on are by no means sure to stay (or stay in their current form). Think of the queries as more of a way to give the devs some hints on what we want to see - or what we DON’T want to see - so that certain *cough* mistakes don’t happen again or at least don’t take weeks to get fixed.
Better to have them know what their fans would absolutely like or dislike while nothing’s hewn in stone than after or close before release. Why not give them the opportunity to hear about our wishes and concerns and to assuage them if they were unfounded (or to address them if they weren’t)? It seems to me that this would save them a lot of trouble, not cause them any.

Secondly, the concern about promises being made that might not end up getting uphold is absurd. As I have stated multiple times by now, nothing would force them to say more than they feel comfortable saying. Why would they suddenly start promising us heaven and earth when they haven’t done so in interviews? I don’t see why you are afraid of that. Incidentally, the time concern still seems unconvincing to me because getting asked a single question per week and answering it in fashion really does not seem very exhausting to me. I’m pretty sure that an interview (of which they give plenty) is both far more time consuming and stressful.

Thirdly, this is NOT about us trying to coax CDPR into giving up some new info on the game. If anything it’s about us giving THEM information, namely our reflections on what we know so far. This weekly query wouldn’t keep them from being “free to get back to us of their own accord” and “releasing information to us when they want to do so”. It looks like you misunderstood something here.

Last but not least, that sort of a summary thread that you mentioned sounds like an acceptable substitute - at least for the time being - should the initial idea of a poll-based form of inquiry get rejected. So thanks for bringing this up.

I myself have suggested doing it on a monthly basis. Heck, they can even do it impromptu. This is an ad hoc framework whose details devs are free to change or ignore at their own discretion.

Suffice to recall the «Novigrad Incident» to vivdly bear in mind the importance of fan feedback. This is an attempt to steamline the whole pocess.

Question: have you enough with this forum in order to know our wishes, preferences or desires, or do you really need a special thread like this?

Concern: This cool idea about this thread could finish becoming a trap for CDPR's free creativity finding here a source of pseudopressure.

Request: CPDR, make YOUR TW3 (as you did with TW1 and TW2), I know it will be the unique TW3 I WANT!

We've seen time and time again that if someone has an issue and it resonates with the community it will get to dev's ears. Like I said, the weekly response will become more of a nuisance for the devs and if you remove that it's basically what we have now. IMO this is not needed.

EDIT:
Very well said Wichat, couldn't of said it better myself.

That's pretty much what I had in mind. I must say I like your point of view on that subject.

No it is not. It could turn to be an open channel for Q&A. That would be its distinctive difference.

Look, I am interested in a great game - as opposed to a great forum experience. I certainly wouldn't want anything happening around here to get in the way of that. But this can be a great idea.Let the devs work out the details.

I swear next time I so much read a cat's whisker of a request, suggestion or complaint from you Wichat - green filter included - this pearl of yours will get posted. I'll be quoting you on this till the end of time.

Let Demut give this a try, it won't hurt anything. Sounds like he has an organized approach and it's likely the devs would have started a thread like this themselves as they did for TW2.

Till now CDPR has demostrated to be one of the very few (maybe the One?) who has a real comunication with their fans. They read ours posts, even, time to time, they answer us. They keep us informed to date (hope they will go on) of every new from their studio. Have we not enough? Can we must be a bit selfish giving them more pressure which they don't deserve?

They made in its time a great game named TW1. They do it again without a thread like this one with TW2. They are showing they give us far greater attention than any other company. This thread can give the impression of more demands than we have and no one else apart from CDPR gives. IMO I think is unnecessary. />/>
