And yes, I agree to a large part, which is why I have already said the idea that many players argue that "Copy V" isn't actually alive, or not actually V is weird to me, BUT it is also a matter of principle.

That's the problem I have with supposedly "transferring" yourself into a microchip.

Cut/Paste data doesn't really exist, the only thing that exist for that is Copy then Paste+Erase original data.

So, I only heard that the new ending doesn't really change V's sucky brain cancer thing, but I'm not sure if it is true? What is the ending then? Spoiler me, because I'm not going to spend money on this thing if it doesn't change the stupid plot cancer.

V gets cured of chronic silverhanditis but surgery caused two year coma so everybody moved on and you cannot use combat cyberware so have to spend rest of the life as a pleb.

In other words, Dexter Deshawn fucked us by leaving only two options - blaze of glory or quiet life

So they give us another crappy ending, they don't really care about us...... I'm done with this company.

I don't get what anyone's problem with the new ending is. It's bittersweet but not bad in any way.

You can rebuild any lost friendships. It just requires a few conversations, IMHO.

wow. Is that a fuck you to the fans? So your quiet life will be so quiet you won't even have friends?

Losing your "powers" in exchange for your life actually kinda makes sense and is a valid choice for V, I think, but the rest of the characters not giving a fuck anymore? That's just sad. Why would CDPR do this?

Not only that.
If you romanced Judy, she already married somebody else. If you romanced Panam, she doesn't wanna see you again and Mitch tells you you should respect that. If you romanced Kerry he's too busy touring, and if you romanced River, he made some gonk decisions that are affecting him. I'm really struggling with this. Fans asked better romances or at least to add something new (president, Rogue, Meredith or even Johnny), and this is what we were given, a 'punishment' if we want an ending were V is cured. So you either die with friends and your love, or you get cured and no one except Vik, Misty and Rogue give a fuck about you anymore.

Panam and Judy leave you in multiple endings I remind you. So it's not like it's a surprise.

Also, this is a spoiler thread anyway about the ending.

True that, Panam is the one who surprised me the most, to be fair.
Also, the difference is that this is the only ending where V is cured. If you were given different options where, depending on your choices, they leave you, it would be different. But this being the only ending where you get cured BUT you lose your loved one feels punishing. I know Cyberpunk isn't supposed to have happy endings, but V losing their legend status and abilities already seemed enough.

I'd love to just have an ending where I can just call my car, or open and store items in my stash. Because I've completed ALL the endings and once I choose Just One More Gig after credits I respawn to that same location outside of meeting Hanako at the bar and am unable to save or call the car. Even travelling to my apartment by fast travel, my stash won't show up there either. Therefore me beating the game and getting those reward items is impossible as I'm stuck in a loop where nothing will be stored post ending. The only way I can continue in Night City is if I load and earlier save where I never finish or complete the game. What fun is that?

So yeah, that's the only ending I want... to be able to continue playing after game over.

And yes I've tried reinstalling, verifying game files, rebeating the game from an old save. Completely busted.

it is a bad ending, they could had for once listened to their fanbase and add a good ending, there are already many such endings in the game, but no, they don't care about us players, for me this company is done for, never buying a game from them ever again.
This was the last straw and they did not care enough to make people happy, they still went the route that Bioware did in the past with mass effect 3, not caring and giving the middle finger to their customers for wanting a good ending with more bad ones......... (n)

@Yllana_Ardais Yeah, they don't care about us fans, and now they have even proven it further with those new bad endings and even more.... making Chloe get married........ lol as if the bad ending wasn't enough.

Oh and for those few defending the endings, witcher 3 is also one of those series that has bitter endings but the team that did this game still went out of their way to make one good ending.
It seems that value of wanting their fans happy has been lost now in CDRP, truly a shame.

I really like this ending with Kerry romance. He missed V in his messages, and when V awoke he was really glad. He just busy in this moment with tour, but would like to meet in two or max four months. I feel it like a really good for my V. He will be living quite life (well as far quite as possible) with his rockstar boyfriend.

Oh...so Kerry still stays with V? hm....interesting. I mean, sucks we didn't get more but if they're still together....

I mean, if you complain about your life in "Who Wants To Live Forever", Misty will basically point out you're being a whiny [censored].

She says that there's more to life than being a badass street merc and a life behind a desk is hardly hellish.

She's also left what's implied to be suicidal depression because of your miraculous survival.

I feel like a lot of people exaggerate how bad V's life is.

Yeah, they broke up with their love female interests but you do that in every ending but Nomad. River is neck deep in shit but he's a PI now and that's how they roll.

And Misty is overjoyed you're alive and happy you're getting out of being a street merc. Because, well, Jackie and V both got killed by it.

They not really together because
V was in coma for 2 years
, but Kerry did not cut off V completely like Panam and Judy and open to continue their relationship.

At least they threw this bone our way.

A lot of people were clinging to the MS treatment as a possible method to deal with V's post-ending problem and Reed here says the Matrix thing is the reason why it didn't work. Without it, there's a chance it could.

As for me, I didn't hate this ending as much as I thought I would after hearing what it's about. But that's probably because I got extremely lucky this time around because Kerry seems open enough to the idea to picking things up with V where they left off. I don't know how it goes with River and fem V. A shame it doesn't work out with Judy and Panam.

Truth to be told, all The Witcher 3 endings contained bitter-sweet elements, even the "good" ones. At least somebody made a mod where everyone comes to stay to your house in Toussaint.

What we need is a similar mod for Cyberpunk, something like you get the nice penthouse (already done) and your love interest moves in with you.

Honestly, does anyone get that Panam and Judy are kind of shitty LIs for their behavior?

They dump you in EVERY ending but Nomad.

I don't blame Judy for getting married because it's been two years but Panam's hostility is ridiculous.

I don't blame any of the love interests for leaving in the original endings. Their goals and desires (I still have some issues in how some endings handled V but whatever) don't align with V's in some endings, so it's better to break it off than stay miserable on top of watching V likely die.

That said, Panam acting like she's been broken to the point she's not even willing to hear V out was very odd. It hurts having someone you care about disappear like that, I've been there myself, but at least she could let V explain. They had a good reason for their disappearance and absence.

Exaggerate? Dude is not only V they trashed in the endings, they basically trashed everyone's life in that ending where V gets cured, they basically cut the players out from all the people that he helped and were friends, even loved ones, they basically rendered useless all our gameplay....... etc
they basically fucked us over, again.
You can keep blindly defending them, is because of people like you that they did still give us this crap.

And you may think that Chloe got a good ending.... yeah but what of the people who romanced her? that was a punch to their faces.
And the others?

is called crap writing, whoever wrote this clearly doesn't care about the fans, that's why they made more new bad crappy endings and they make the lis always abandon V if he chooses to stay in NC etc.

This game could have been amazing if only it did have a good true ending, but no ...they rendered the game worthless with those endings and they killed any replayability because of it, also any joy that you can have in the game is killed by the after taste of the endings like some people say, this game is just to play it until before the endings otherwise it's just a plain 3 at most out of 10.

and yes, there are 2 endings that are more or less to the interpretation of a "possible" cure.... the sun and the star.... yet still what Bioware did......
maybe half the ones kicked from bioware are the ones that did cyberpunk and that's why they give us another middle finger, it seems like a repeat of Mass Effect 3 all over again.

In any case, it is pointless to debate with people who will just defend everything they do wrong.
