Also if you picked anyone but Panam, your story should've ended very, very poorly.

Does the story fit the theme for Johnny? If you get his ending he seems to be getting more than he deserves. I guess for him the "cyberpunk darkness and futility" doesn't apply, must be because of the fan-fiction. And even if he does die, he still gets to do what he wanted by the end -- redeem himself to his friends and make what he can right. V does not get so many opportunities.

It's almost like some think that because it's dark and gloomy it's sooo artistic, besides the fact it's ridden with plotholes and conveniences when the characters need them.

Besides, as much as I liked Panam's ending there is little chance you will be saved by some ripperdocs that nomad's know in Arizona.

I played a transwoman, and you'll be happy to hear that Judy is "finally happy" on the road with Nomads and my V. So that actually was really heart-warming. She always wanted to get away from NC, just needed a little push.

Aww you people have no vision...

New hot expansion coming out for Cyberpunk 2077,

Cyberpunk 2077 The Keanuning revolution, now with double the Keanu

I thing I would die from laughter if that ended up happening

V survives. Johnny goes into cyberspace or dies (idc either way) and the love interest of V and him/her leave NC and live a happy life. IDC if i need everything done for that to happen. But it needs to happen. 2020 was depressing enough i dont need an RPG dragging me down further.

All in all I think the biggest problem CDPR made with the story they tried to tell and the endings that left so many people disappointed is that they did it in a RPG.

Way to take control and choices from players. :/

Kinda liked johnny after he started opening up. If you were friendly to him atleast. Hade some very nice things to say and do for his friends. One of the better part of the sidequests for me. Was fun with the whole concert thing too.. The story and characters are pretty wellwriten, up till the end that is.

I just dont get how it ended up like this... they really need to explain.

It is not for me, because my love interest is and will be River Ward. He´s such a fantastic character. In the storyline about him you get to know him pretty well, you get to know his family and you even play a game with him and his sisters kids. This family got me in their hearts and so do I have them. This part with him was the happiest i felt in the entire game. and yet there is no happy ending to that. a real tragedy that i feel is absolutely wrong.

While I do see the points that some people have raised in this thread, I see the ending as fitting for the mood and tone of the game. I guess the end could be changed in a DLC but they would have to be very careful not to cheapen the already existing endings. Changing the endings outright would just seem like a cheap cop out to me.

I will now try to find solace in the fact that I didn't play the real game, but merely a copy.

Don't need to do much to change endings, I wrote before, just changing some dialogues could fix them or make them much better. Or adding new ones with DLC/freeLC.

Also, the more I think of Crystal palace ending, the dumber it gets.

I want an ending that fits my interests, otherwise I´m done with the game, because it makes absolutely no sense of replaying.

The thing is, this game stopped being advertised as an RPG a few months ago, in favor of 'action adventure'. So it seems all that choice they promised probably changed with that. TBH, an open world with a somewhat forced linear story just feels weird - it goes against the whole idea of freedom and exploration that an open world is meant to encourage.
I think CDPR sort of got in over their heads with this game. It wouldn't be surprising, when you think of numerous games features they mentioned over the years and then eventually scrapped.

I don't know, self-obsessed rocker being forced to live in someone else's body in a world that basically forgot he ever existed? The only people that remember him have been forced to move on or forget him. The one person that still has a really high opinion of him was basically someone that annoyed him endlessly (Kerry)? A missed opportunity is to play up how much people miss V, and how they've been replaced by this self-obsessed jerk. Then you could have a crisis for Johnny which would be fun to explore.

Though, if you trust Johnny he shouldn't relinquish control and force you out. Makes way more sense with his character. I don't really understand when the characters crossed the line from unwilling adversaries to pals. That was a big hole for me.

I'm not forgiving this game for its many, many missteps in the story. Just felt like the ending with Panam should be the only moderately happy one. Corps should backstab immediately, and so what kind of doof would trust them - you should get a bad ending in that regard. And trusting Johnny should be a one-way ticket to having your brain overwritten - he gets to live as opposed to go to join his emotionless ex-girlfriend (who I kind of don't even get the feeling he liked that much???) and possibly part of some weird hivemind.

Definetly not and I said about 5 times at least, that Panam ending is not for everyone!!! Nice if you want that, but I want something different! We should all get an end to be pleased with

I would have also like a happy ending but it just wasent in the cards for V with how the story was set up. They explain pretty early on that V's brain is getting rewritten to match johnny's engram. I didnt have any illusions after after that information that there would be any fix for it. I was just along for the ride to see what was going to happen.

We obviously need 2 different endings here. Maybe the nomad one, for those who had panam or judy as loved one and one where we can live in the city with River or Kerry.

The endings are already very cheap, the majority of them.
